It will be interesting to see what Teague does with the forward setup this week.
It is pathetic in its current form.
If he changes it markedly, we will know he was only following orders from BB.
We know how he set up Adelaide and they have not done much since he left (which is curious).
I wonder if he will use Garlett there at some stage in the ddie Betts role. Garlett is an instinctive player like many of the indigenous players and in the little I have seen of him up front has offered a lot more than he did down back. he was a top pick in his draft year for a reason.
I hope Teague just lets them off the hook for this one week and tells them to go and enjoy themselves while he watches on.
I would love to see what some of our class players can do if someone were to say,
"Your goal today is to get 25 possessions or more and have four tackles and three running bounces."
"Your job today is to run with Zorko and kick one goal."
"Your job today is to stay within 20 metres of goal when the opposition has possession and to lead at the ball carrier from there when we get a turnover in our half."
"I want you to fly once for MOTY, just once so pick your time."
"Your job is to run through fifty once a quarter and have a long shot for goal."
Just that on top of the structural stuff that is necessary.
Win or lose, the players would enjoy their week and so would we.
Then I woke up.
Importantly BS, Fagan won't know exactly what we are going to do....
I agree about watching the set ups.... This will be very interesting.
If it's more of the same, I will be happy to see the assistants go...
If we see differences, but the same errors/hesitation etc, then (God help us) its the players that aren't up to it
