Assistant coaches - locked in (13/10)

If I was able to add whoever I wanted to the coaching panel, I would be seeking out Steve Johnson, who takes goal scoring VERY seriously, as well as Lenny Hayes and Dean Cox. Dale Amos is a keeper & needs to be squared away for as long as possible.

I would also like to see the development roles integrated under the Academy banner (think the Pies have this one right) which includes Academy Head, VFL Coach and Next Gen Manager as full time positions, with a mix of full and part time roles covering the playing aspects.

If I had to choose a top dog for this department, I would go with Brad Miller. We've been lacking a bit since we lost Megan to the Tigers and I think Pia would add a lot to the club. Also, Brad has a good coaching pedigree.

Did Clarkson just say on AFL360 that an assistant is leaving Hawforn for Carlton, to be announced next 10 days or so?

Clarko just mentioned on AFL360 that a staff member is leaving for Carlton that's been announced and another will be announced in the next 10 days.

Two things, I missed the context at the start of that discussion, so I'm not sure if the first staff member was Andrew Russell and/or if the second staff member is coming to Carlton or just leaving the Hawks.

That was my assumption, first one was Russell

I heard it too.
They were discussing Clarkson being in Sydney today it was suggested it was to see Cogs.
He said he went there about staff. He mentioned that all coaching staff now have to be told of their futures by August 1st.
He definitely said that a Hawks staff was going to Carlton and it has been announced.
