Trigg is a quality appointment. High quality business nous.

Given where we are as a club, it is vital to have AFL endorsement.

Cheers, i am prepared to give him a go.

You are half right. The contract he ''created'' kept Tippett at the club. When that contract expired he left.

Happy with that. Hope your right OR as I see this appointment as critical.

Yes, but it locked adelaide into accepting an inadequate trade when he left?

The subject of this thread is an indictment on our supporters
You have to give him 18 months until the beginning of season 2016.
We went through a process which everyone has required
Maybe we needed AFL experience in the role so the outsiders didn't cut it
Give him a go

If you cut through the wisecracks you'll see there's plenty of people willing to give him a go.

But, given our current state, if we can't have a laugh and make a few cheap jokes we may as well close the joint down.

not an indictment on supporters - we raise legitimate concerns about bringing in a guy who recently got 6 months for rorting the salary cap when our team nearly went out of existence the last time it cheated the salary cap - we have guys like Edelstein hanging around the club being lauded - we have a president who is just new but doesn't distance himself from Edelstein and appoints a guy at the very least has integrity issues hanging over him to run the football club
Do you really reckon this guy would get a run at geelong hawthorn or the swans as CEO

Like anything, you get what you look for.

Our search criteria didn't include innovation, social media awareness, stakeholder engagement because these aren't things our board understand or value.
I just feel we searched on the same criteria that got us Swann.
It's not the recruiter'e fault. They were given parameters and delivered on that basis.

Considering you were obviously on the panel why did you keep so quiet about it?

As OR has stated, 35 candidates were looked at, both inside and outside of the industry, and Trigg was chosen.

That's an arduous process!!!!!!

A lot of people dont. Former Football manager John Reid is believed to be the main player, Trigg took the big hit.

There are people in the SA media that reckon they know the real story but are not privy to tell.

As much as it has a touch of "One day I'll be in very, very good position" Trigg has always stated that one day he would like to reveal the truth, but legally can not.

The salary cap stuff is a worry but it's long time since our infringements and most of those involved have gone.

Trigg has recent runs on the board in that department so good to see the club being a little more proactive in their search for "best practice".

A global search it was. We found him in some little town called Adelaide. Anyone heard if it before?

That's not a real place is it?

Isn't that like Pearl Bay or Porpoise Spit?

Happy to give him a go.

But we gave Wayne Hughes 10 years, until we worked out he wasn't up to it.

I hope we have things in place to identify what his key KPI's are and if he is not meeting them then off he goes.

Still not sure whether our board is smart enough to identify the KPI's.

Slobbo (on AFL360 tonight) has firm established and identified that Carlton and Adelaide were guilty of salary cap breaches, one of the fundamental key rules in AFL.

No worries Slobbo, thanks for identifying these shit stains of football clubs.

Let's hope the shit stains in your own underpants isn't stopping you from smelling what has gone on at Essendon*.
