Yep - pre game version in a Dropkick Murphys style type song, purely consisting of nothing else but "DA DA DA DA DA" on loop. Put a bit of pan flute and cowbell backing to it, maybe some bagpipes.

Just give us the cup after that.

Maybe sung by Metallica?

If not, I hear Tina Arena is a big fan - either or.

Club song sung in the key of "We Are The World" with every other celebrity that's ever put on a Blues jumper.

Danni Minogue. Lee Kernaghan. Tina Arena. Kate Ceberano. The non batshit crazy reclusive members of ABBA.

I think it's a strong 2nd place behind Richmond in the song rankings.

I wouldn't change it.

I don't mind the idea behind a different song or variant of the song for prematch however. It's probably somewhere in the 000s on the list of things to sort out at the club, but it forms a part of the game day xperience and there's no question that the club has put minimal effort in making the home games feel like home games.

The melody is really old and original composer unknown.
The sort of tune you can sing at a faster pace, and has a strong anthemic, stirring of the soul
quality.
(when the Blues come marching home)

Oh when the Blues, oh when the Blues go marching in, oh how I want to be in Carlton, when the Blues go marching in...now we are talking

You do realise you can't just put your own Carlton lyrics into the St.Kilda Football Clubs Club song don't you?

Most of us love the original old song we know as being ours.

My 3yo is big on Down By The Station at the moment - we could use that tune and change the words a little maybe? It's very catchy.
