Just wondering if anyone besides Gibbsy and Yaz think we can pinch one earlier than expected?
Assuming walks come back and hits the form he had before latest injury, and also that Bower is back and firing...give or take a player or two,but if we have our best side pretty much there..and we would be really fast with Walks and Army...and Yaz....
Is it possible...?

Yes it's possible, but I have a gut feeling the fagpies will be right up there. Although, surely they'll get the wobbles up shortly. Would be nothing more satifying than those morons losing to us in the finals.
But I honestly believe top 4 is where we're at, from there you just never know

never say never, I hope the players think we can..

I don't think we have the finals experience to win a prelim AND a GF. We may have beaten Geelong a few weeks back but they are a whole different team in finals. You can add Collingwood to that list. I think if we play our cards right and injuries go our way we could sneak into a prelim. It would be a success if we did that and would be a great launching pad for 2011

Anything is possible but i would think 2011/12 is more likely.

We would need everything to go our way if we were to win it. Finishing top 4 and winning straight through to the pre-lim is almost a must I reckon. Plus remaining close to injury free is the other key ingredient. If we can do that then you are in with a shot....

Lock it in Eddie

If the team stays healthy, then who knows.

I don't think Saints will feature far in this years finals, if they even make finals.
We can beat the Cats, regardless of Finals, we are going for 3-0 against them.
Pies are the only other team that is a problem. But, l do think we played 1 good quarter against them and nearly took the lead late in the 3rd, we didnt and they rolled us in last 40minutes. But, we had chances to take the lead and who knows what momentum can do in a game for footy. Could of been a completely different scoreline if that happened.

If we make top 4, game on. No excuses about having a young list.

 Yep. Would happily swap our second encounter in 2010 with the Pies to knock em' out of the finals. That would be SWEET!

Pretty sure the Pies have peaked too early.

Yes.

I'm pretty sure I saw combined blueman / Blueseum post that talked up a Carlton v Collingwood Grand Final in 2010, commemorating 100 years since Collingwood's last victory over Carlton in a Grand Final, in which we won to rectify the historical and logical injustice of any such thing ever happening.

Go Blues.

We can win it, of course we can. We could also just as easily get ahead of ourselves and fluff it up.

Talking about "it" now is a bit daft, though. We should enjoy the wins, we should enjoy the way the team is currently playing.

But we should not lose sight of the fact that every game is a tough gig and every opponent requires respect.

Enjoy the wins when they come, but do not expect success to be served up on a platter. With any luck the team's increasing maturity means comments like Bryce made are being said in the context of better understanding just how hard it is to win a flag. And we are a long, long way from having a right to expect that to happen.

We're still improving, we're still learning. We're not premiership contenders. And if we become genuine contenders in 2010 I'd rather we snuck up under the radar to be honest.

Let the Pies live it up on media street. Although, they still have that difficult June period to get through yet.

I know winning big games is a relatively new experience to us in recent years following 6 years of being pounded senseless on and off the field, but is there any chance for people to chill out and not start 'Can we win the flag ?' threads after every big win....

I don't think letting your imagination out for a bit of a run, in a fairly light hearted way, I might add, is either daft or overkill.
It might even be healthier than 'sack Ratten' or' why we can't win' threads...(just maybe.. )

After every game we win (except the first 2), I put $50 of my winnings on us to win the GF.

By the end of the H&A I will have a very nice pot to collect!

Last week the Blues were $21, this week $13, so there's been money laid on them.

Yes we can.

First let's get 14 wins to be in a good position for it.

You know I've got money on the boys to come home with the chocolates in 2010.

Of course we can.

Get to the GF and it's 50/50.

Anything can happen...and we are making things happen this year.
