Would you rather Carlton plays a confident Richmond that has thrashed Port Adelaide or a Richmond coming off a loss?

I think we can burst those pretenders' bubbles.

Just have to make sure we kick straight.

this is a massive game for us.

we need to win to stay a chance at making the finals.

otherwise i reckon we may struggle to get over the line.

the eight is already forming with most teams or at least 4 wins with freo on 3 and us on 2 and half.

we win next week and it will keep us in touch, we lose and it will be difficult

Will be a tough match.
There will be a few players that we must shutdown.
Nathan Brown kicked 6 today and has been in good form.
Richo kicked 3 goals and is in pretty good form.

We are going to have to lift our game considerably if we are to win this one.

T-Bird on Richo, rotate Eddie on Brown (as soft as they come....I'm sure he'd complain about the attention he gets from whoever we put on him on live TV....again....).

I think Denis has the goods to get us up for the match.

Eddie on Brown is a silly move.
We are basically robbing Peter to pay Paul if that were to happen.

Reckon Banno will get the job on Brown.

Richmond next Saturday will be a very stern test, as will teh remaining games of the year. Just can't believe how topsy turvy this year is proving to be.

Would it be a move to rotate Eddie and Banno on Brown, rather than rotate Eddie off the Bench? I think that Eddie has the chasing/tackling skills to take Brown out of the match for periods which is when we can shift it forward to Lance/Jaz/Archie etc in the F50. Then for other periods he could be the damaging Forward Pocket we know he is.

Banno to take Brown for most of the match.
Perhaps even put Wiggo on him to make him earn his possies.

Eddie on Brown won't happen.

Just trying to think outside the box a little....

But when Denis rings me to ask which positions I want finalised, I'll pass that on....

In past seasons, you often wondered which Richmond team would turn up on gameday in seasons past, after a win, there would come an embarrasing loss.

While I think that they are travelling well, I wouldnt be surprised if we can beat them on Saturday, although it will be a very hard match.

How did they pull up after their demolition OF pORT?

If round 6 took a lot out of them and we can cover our injuries, we might be the fresher team on the day that is able to run out the 4 quarters better than them. Its a hope that I have anyway....

Port was soft today , but we still need to treat the Tigers with respect. Take them lightly and we will get beaten. The tigers are a lot tougher under Wallace.

Suggestions?

I would like to see Bannister tagging the hell out of Brown for starters.

Might be time to bring some height back into defence.

Bannister or Wiggins or Sporn for Brown.

We will need height, just not sure we have it. Norman would have to be looked at.

Norman and Morell may be get a call up this week.
Chammbers looked pretty good on friday night and Carazzo is already an AFL superstar. They will both be hard to cover for i feel.

Judging by the Bullants report in the VFL section, I reckon McGrath and Prender will come in for Carrots and Chambers.

If Campo misses as well, Davies will probably come in.

Stop them we win

We need to shut down the midfield, play tight man on man footy and not let it into their 50 and we can come away with a win

sounds easy huh ?

Teague on Simmonds as Hodge is a similar size and stitched him this year.Even though Hodge is a gun I'd give it a go as Simmonds is over-rated and known as rubber-tits when he was at the Dockers.
T-Bird will have to go to Richo unless you want Morrell to come in and play on him. McGrath to run with Tambling if he get a game and Sporn to pick up DeLedio.
Don't know who they'll play on Waite as I don't think they have a player to go with him on the move. I just want to see Brown smashed and it's a shame Fev isn't playing.

Don't think Eddie can stay on the ground the entire game.
