5 Waite - BOG. Really stood up in the absence of Fevola
4 Wiggins - Never gave up all day. I have no doubt he will play 200+ games for (and finish his career at) Carlton
3 Johnson - Loved his work under the packs
2 Kouta - Ditto. Started slow but he was there when we needed him
1 French - Rucked hard all day as usual. We really miss him whenever he's not in the centre. Kouta and Johnson wouldn't have been as effective without him feeding them the ball down to them

5 votes - Jarrad Waite. You've arrived.

4 votes - Brett Johnson. Clearance after clearance, hard ball get after hard ball get. Very underrated.

3 votes - Anthony Koutoufides. Played a real captain's game in the second half after a sluggish first half. Really gave us the lift we needed.

2 votes - Simon Wiggins. I reckon this bloke would just about die for this club. Time and time again he put his body on the line and never gave up when chasing. Loved his pass to Lance in the last quarter.

1 vote - French. Nullified the best ruckman in the league. Would have to be the front runner for the John Nicholls Medal and possibly an AA guernsey.

5 Waite
4 Kouta
3 Thornton
2 French
1 Teague

Glad to see Whitnall played well out of full-forward in the last qrt too. If he can contribute 2-3 goals per game plus some assists per match then he is half way there to redemption.

5. Waite- Five goal effort which should have probably been seven. Hope he can keep it up once Fev gets back.
4. French- Nullified the inform ruckman in the competition, worked tirelessly against two men all night.
3. Thornton- Just pure class, held Everitt up forward as well as stopping Williams and providing drive from defence.
2. Koutoufides- Hard ball gets, good game from Kouta.
1. Betts- Spark in the final quarter. Kicked two and gave off another one to Lappin. Doesn't panic in high pressure situations.

Stevens, Wiggin, Scotland, Johnson, Teague, Bannister and Walker were all good in stages too.

5. Jarrad Waite- We all know why
4. David Teague- Very good game in defense. Worked hard all game.
3. Brett Johnson- Good game from the so-called 'super-sub'
2. Eddie Betts- The Game Breaker in the end
1. Anthony Koutoufidies- Another very good game for Kouta

4 - French 4 qtr effort and was getting more of the ball in the midfield in the first 3 qtrs than most of the midfielders
3 - Johnson
2 - Teague - Never gives up
1 - Kouta - Last qtr effort killed them

5 - Waite. Can't wait (sorry) to see him play in tandem with Fev in the F50.
4 - French. Our Mr Consistent.
3 - Kouta. Some skill errors, but an ok match overall, especially when on the ball.
2 - Walker. Nice work on Crawford.
1 - Lance. Popped up in the last when needed.

Mentions to: Eddie Betts, Johnson, Thornton, Wiggins, Stevens.

Lucky to pull that one out of the jaws of defeat I think....but I'll take it.

5. J.Waite - What can you say?
4. B.Thornton - Ultra cool, was a rock.
3. A.Koutoufides - Reminded me of 1999 prelim that last quarter. Great to see his marking is back on track.
2. B.Johnson - Making a name for himself and keeping my boy Bentick out.
1. E.Betts - Was telling people all day, watch Eddie ignite the Blues. That he did. SPECIAL.
