Point is, who cares if everyone loves Pagan or hates him. He has done nothing with this group and needs to go. We need to give someone else a go, and have some fresh ideas. You heard him he has done his BEST.

We need someone outside of Carlton this is why I dont want Ratts. He has been tainted by pagan. Dont you all recall Ratten justifying some of the player moves by Pagan and saying they were good ones. I lost all respect when that happened.

Voss, Mckenna whoever etc. Just get pagan out......

''We need someone outside of Carlton''. Hello? It's been 17 years since a ''Carlton person'' coached this club. Maybe that's exactly what's needed!
Whether it's Rattan, SOS, Bond ,or whoever maybe just maybe , what's needed is one of our own to instill some pride and sense of club history into this group of kids.

Technically Bond hasn't been "One of our own" for a very long time. And even then it wasn't for very long.

Now that Freo looks like its going to be in the market for a coach, who would they want?

Word is they will look to a local, and you would imagine they would want to get someone with a strong playing history, Premiership player, who can really stamp himself on the playing group with authority.

Two players come to mind...Sumich and McKenna. If we are interested in McKenna (as I am), we'd better get a move on.

Must admit, have come right around to "Bluey" (how apt) McKenna.

Premiership player
Successful and EXPERIENCED assistant
Worked wonders with Pies younger players
Disciplined and no fuss player
Worked with Swann
Etc etc

Very "Parko" like to me. A leader of men.

We should be grateful that we have Bluey and Voss to choose from. Agree Ziggy, we should sound him out asap given Freo's predicament.

Don't be surprised if Pagan is the mix for the Fremantle job. We can work out an ammicable separation as well in terms of finances.

Pagan to Freo very doubtful i doubt he will be coaching anywhere in 2008 seriously who would want a old school coach with a less than 25% record over last 5 years. We dont want him so why would anyone else.

There will be a coaching merry go round at years end

Possible senarios
Blues - Voss (prob main target) / Mckenna / Ratten

Demons - Connelly (Old Melbourne person returnng back to Melb) / Voss / Mckenna / Ratten - Melb is more open but Connelly maybe front runner / Out of Left field maybe Harvey

Freo - Sumich Front runner / Mckenna would be another option but believe Sumich would be 1st choice

Bombers - May bring in Change Sheedy Out and Daniher in if Sheedy vacates

Tiger out of Left Field - If Sheedy came availabe maybe Tigers may terminate Wallet and bring back Sheedy

Again these are possible senarios

Geelong / Westcoast / Port / Adelaide / Pies / Bulldogs / Swans / Lions / Saints / Hawks
These all pretty safe

North - maybe could be change as there have been runblings of Longmire but prob safe with Kangas being 3rd

This is a question not a statement - Why is Voss such a popular choice as our next coach when he hasn't coached an AFL club before - not even as an assistant?

Because he is a "Chief"...............all the others are nothing but run of the mill "Indians".

Ratten - premiership player/successful and EXPERIENCED assistant, worked wonders with the Melbourne midfield/Disciplined and no fuss player/True Blue.

Mark Harvey will get the caretakers role and audition for the job, Connolly and Freo will part ways in the next couple of weeks...

So Elwood, do you think that Harvey will get that Head Job he has been hanging out for, at last? :P
