Are you on drugs?? How many years of non-success do you need to see to get it.

I don't want this guy anywhere near our club. We've learnt our lesson. Let's get a good coach!

If we all had the same opinions life would be pretty boring. Danniher is a highly respected coach and a true professional. I don't think very many would be surprised to see him coaching a club next season.

Why is it that if I disagree with your opinion, you assume that I'm against people expressing opposite opinions in general. It's fine by me for you to have whatever opinions you want. I'm just expressing an opposing one.

Daniher had a decade at a club - that's 10 seasons, 10 preseasons, 10 National drafts, 10 rookie drafts, 10 preseason drafts, ample time to mold a culture, to develop youngsters, to create innovative game plans, etc.

That's also, in the AFL's system, 10/16 of the way through a complete cycle.

In that time he managed one 2nd!!! That's it!!! And Melbourne doesn't look any better to me than it ever has in the past 10 years, AND Neitz is about to finish.

Daniher may be a good bloke, and may be a reasonable man to have around (I probably shouldn't have said "anywhere near our club"), but Senior Coach!!!!!!! No thanks.....

Yeah i agree but you also have to remember Pagan did alot for Kangaroos and has done nothing for us...just because Danniher has done nothing for Melbourne doesnt mean he would be a shit coach for us

My mate works at the collingwood footy club and he reckons that he is a superb coach.
The players love him and he is great teacher especially with the young players.
He is second in charge behind Malthouse and looks after the opposition.
People at Collingwood would be shattered if he left.
He would be a great get.

Mate he was super impressive. The only area in which Voss is superior IMO is his ability to throw a straight right. Bluey was articulate, clearly has a vision in mind, comes from the club that right now is having the greatest success in developing kids, has a successful (super successful) playing career behind him. To top that off his nickname is Bluey...would be a great fit I reckon!!!

Anywhere I could get that online? What did he say? Anything specific or more "I haven't spoken to anyone but if a position opens up..." stuff?

Can anyone justify why they would put Voss ahead of Roos?

Would Tony Danza get a gig too?

Interesting grab on the news tonight. Dick was obviously asked for his reaction to the (ordinary) smack in the gob handed out by M Voss at the POW . Dick's response? ''Who's Michael Voss''?
Read into that what you will.

Why isn't Chris Bond an option?

Yes - my choice isn't an option here!!

McKenna...hmmmm...No. It won't even go close to happening so there's no point in worrying.

Disappointing list actually - I don't think Jimmy Buckley has a desire to coach.

Dr Sherrin, whether Jimmy has any coaching aspirations or not , you can rest assured his right cross would be far superior to anything Master Voss put on display.

Bluey is my NO 1 CHOICE, out and out.

Not only would he make a great coach for our club, but for anyone who actually knows the guy and his family 8) they are quality. People who say hello to you first. Remember your names or a brief conversation of the past.
I personally rate that quality...

He would be ideal and who knows who he'd bring with him...

Get Bluey.

I've been a big wrap for Bluey for a while, even though I initially thought Voss would be the best man for it. But the more I see of Bluey the more convinced I am that he would be perfect for the team we have in place. As for "struggling" to get him, it wouldn't be a struggle at all. The man wants to coach senior football, he's made that clear on many an occasion. If he's offered the job you can bet the farm that he'd take it.
