Think Worsfold may have a few issues with discipline.Last thing we need(i cringe whenever i see Fev on the footy show)although he could bring Judd with him.Now i'm really dreaming

Terry Wallace played in a few premierships - and I am sure he can get a side of young kids to gel together and play for him!

I think Blue Vain should be the next coach of the Carlton Football Club. :P

Haha, that'll go down well.

Wouldn't mind his mate in Rocket Eade though.

Ive always believed that Brett Ratten will be the next Carlton coach.

He would be respected and also popular with the players.

Brett would be the kind of coach that the players would bleed for.

There would be a very strong 'play for the jumper' ethic at Carlton if he got the gig.

Apparently the Saints had a shortlist of 50+ names before they settled on Lyon.WTF. Didn't think Baldock,Jeans,or Stewie would be up to it.King Dick should get Swann to just get the best.BTW does anyone think that John Buchannon could be of any value in some capacity, maybe as a director of coaching like the scum wanted to do with Rocket.

Bluey Mckenna definately good candidate

5 years assisting in both West Coast and Collingwood (senior Assistant)
Has coached a team in the WAFL

Premiership Player
Captain of a very successful Team
Same era and work ethic as Woosher

Would be able to realte to the kids and be excellent in working with a young team.
From his interviewing for the Saints gigs was very passionate in his direction and how he wanted to implement ideas with the Saints Squad.

I reckon he will be one of the next assistants to be promoted into the ranks and would be ideal to be involved in a young team

Other Advantage he knows the CEO well having worked with Swan for 3 years.

obviously without really knowing what i am talking about, rats would be a good candidate..... but i just get the feeling that of the untried coaches, guy mckenna would be the pick of the bunch. i think both these guys would have similar qualities in terms of meticulous planning and both would be extremely articulate, however i reckon bluey might have rats covered in terms of be an effective communicater...... i wonder if he has forgiven big earl yet. best shirt front i have ever seen :-D

I think he wouldn't make it as a coach, well not for us,just my opinion a graet guy and player but i'ts rare a coach that plays for a team does great coacing his old side.

brilliant football brain but i dont think would come back to coaching.

i think the ideal people to take the reins for us would be one of these three:

Gary O'Donnell
Mark Harvey
Guy McKenna

all three were hard as nails, never took a backwards step, which is what we need instilled in our players and all three know what it takes to build a winning culture at a club.

young coaches that are more able to relate to players is what is needed. Not just a coach but a mentor as well. I would also like to see Glenn Manton invited back to the club in a mentoring role.

The role that Mants plays within in the community in mentoring young kids with life issues is invaluable and he would offer so much to a club he loved.

Michael Voss for me.

Heard him on SEN last evening he was impressive. All the credentials, premierships captain and player, an excellent communicator.

No experience in coaching though, but so what, he will bring with him toughness, leadership and team spirit which will compensate.

Why? It wouldn't make no sense i reckon both him and Pagan should get their papers as they can't work together.

I would probably give Pagan until his contract is up and give both the flick especially if Carlton was struggling still next year and possibly the flick this year if they didn't win a minimum of 8 games unless the club has made a deal to play all the kids like Richmond no matter what to get 2 early picks and said to Pagan we would back you all the way even with a spoon.

I was joking in relation to the fiasco late last year...

Mitchell should've been shown the door pre season and Denis given free reign this year. I think Pagan will be pushed at the end of this year.......next year i'd be happy with Voss ( bit of a gamble ) Mckenna , Ratten Odonnell or Longmire... time for new blood.
