Does this mean that results from yesterday's scans showed a problem, requiring more tests??

I'm not an expert in neck fractures, but having done some ED rotations, I've seen several neck pain patients, most commonly from motor vehicle accidents.

The sequence of investigations is as follows:
1) Lateral neck X-rays - no chance a fopotballer has these, they move straight to the next level.
2) CT neck - very sensitive for fracture (likely stevo had this)
3) MRI neck - rarely done for your average patient off the street. Stevo would probably be getting one - very good for viewing soft tissue eg. IV discs.
4) Bone scan - involves injecting a nuclear dye that is taken up by injured bone. Any minor fracture shows up as a 'hot spot' on the scan.

I'd say stevo had 3 or 4 today. Could be some other whizbang investigation though., I'm not sure.

All one can definitely say now is that there is no obvious fracture that would have been picked up on CT.

Not quite ready to say I was wrong just yet, but I hope Stevens' is given the all clear. Would be a personal tragedy if he was forced into retirement. Fingers crossed!

I have no 3 which resulted in discovering c4c5c6 all between slight and moderate bulges with a tear in one, an impingement of the nerve and flattening of the spinal cord. Advice received - dont play again.

If Stevo has bulging discs it could be career ending. Here's hoping its nothing.
