Well, after making the team v. Port, the big question is whether Pagan will reward him with another game to cap off 50 games this week. Averaging 16 possies in his first year at the Hawks, Bowyer had a great second half v Port when he took the dangerous Burgoyne (as distinct from the tall Burgoyne) out of the game. Standby for an interview of some type!

Great news for GB - love the way he goes about it, tough and hard.

Hope he stays in for the trip to Perth, deserves to notch up a milestone after all he has been through.

Pretty much shut Burgoyne out of the game when he switched onto him. Deserves to be rewarded with another game.

What sort of relationship do the players have with Pagan?

How hard is he/other players finding it to break into the side?

Do you attribute your selection in the Blues to SheriffCassidy, following the big rap he gave you after your Round 1 effort against Sandringham in the VFL?

If not, will you be happy to wallow in the Magoos after the Sheriff finds out what an ingrate you are?

From all I've read about Glen bowyer it's impossible not to really admire the bloke after what he's been through.
I'd be rapt to see him keep performing his role and cementing his spot in the side.
The club needs gritty & determined "club people" like Bowyer to set an example to our young wayward players such as Karl.

Is training at the Hawks really more scientific then it is at the Blues, and do you think that's why Hawthorn thrashed the Lions on the weekend?

nup, you didn't miss anything. despite turning up a number of times, no interviews took place for messers betts and blackwell. i gather they're a bit shy at the moment, but hopefully one day i'll get to complete the interviews.

Who's the tougher nut to crack, Glen Bowyer or David Teague.

Id love you to ask if footy stopped for Glenny right now.. how would he view his career and his time at Carlton.
What possie would he prefer.
Talk is he is addicted to the weights room... is it an escape?(One of his best mates is Tony Doherty)
Would he still want to be around a club once he has finished?

I tipped Glen Bowyer for a mid-field role this week - with Kouta moved back (through necessity) to pick up Tredrea. I was right about Kouta on to Treadrea 8) , but not about the result. However I thought Bowyer was terrific in close and around the ball ups, I was surprised however that he was able to curtail a player of Burgoyne's pace as this isnt Bowyer's strong suit.

But a great result for Glen nonetheless.

Is there any chance that Bowyer can become that hard man in the mid field that carlton seem to miss at times. Someone to push back the Hollands and Rowlings of the AFL?

Alas, no interview this week - all of the times fell through. Perhaps Glen doesn't want to jinx his selection? If he makes it, I'm sure we'll get an interview up next week...

he seems like a very positive guy, his answering machines finishes off with 'and have a GREAT day'!
