Great effort boys, unlucky as hell not to walk away with four.

I'm as proud as punch tonight, what a great game.

Never, ever lose faith in this team.

Yep

Another step forward........ got some points, but they'll feel hurt they didn't get the fullpoints.

A spur and a win.

2 points gained.

Wonderful

Bloody oath.

That there is the benchmark for how we need to play.

If we retain that same commitment and desperation we will be there come finals.

Port better watch out for the return bout at the end of the year.

Trent Sporn and Simon Wiggins - the two blokes we love to bash. Probably up there with the toughest tonight.

Wiggins attack on the ball and dash

Sporn coming back after it looked like he'd broken a bone in the face

Ryan Houlihan one of the best

Think of it this way; if someone offered us 2 points before the season when playing Port away; WE'D TAKE IT!

and is it just me, but is it always Wiggo that sets the tone for that 'get the ball or die trying' attitude that we saw in the last 1/4 against the dons and in the last 3/4 tonight? A couple of things he did tonight were bordering suicidal.

Wiggo, Teague and Sporn are our 'Suicide Squad'.

Completely agree. You obviously always want to win, but I can certainly live with a draw with Port.

Only saw about half the game, but Houla's penetrating run and silky disposal was something to behold. Good to see him stepping up and applying his obvious super talent to midfield now.

We are in the eight, until tomorrow anyway.

2 points and an improved percentage. What more can you ask for against the reigning premiers.

7 shots that hit the post as well, looks like the goal kicking practive is improving.

Houlihan was probably BOG; his ability to run and carry the ball then hit a target is invaluable

It was an effort.

It shoulda been a lot worse. They let us off the hook in the first qtr and we let them off in the second but it really should've been over at qtr time.

Just like the Adelaide game last year.

We won that though!

Houlihan. French. Kouta. Carrots. Fevola. Wiggins. T-Lo. Chambers. Stevens. Teague. And the whole team really.

We fought back and got ourselves into a winning position.

Have to remember we were down by 4 goals; you'd expect Port to blow us away but we came back and it shows a lot of character

Houlihan just looked like he was under a magic spell tonight. He just sliced through packs with all the time in the world and seemed untouchable at times.

T Longmuir and C Chambers are very big positives.

Karl playing with a bit of spirit and backing himself more.

Walker plays his best game of the year (inc preseason)

Wiggo playing like a man possessed.

Sporny's couragous, Teague-like defensife flights.

Carazzo just gets better.

Barnaby French sticks it right up Primus, Lade and Brogan.

Mark Williams can stick his snide, whiny, cheap-arse comments about Stevens and French right up his squealy little arse.

Men putting themselves on the line for each other and manning up for each other.

Playing like a team. Playing like we wanted it. Playing like there's no tomorrow.

If I hear one negative on this thread....

Sporn, Wiggo. HOULA, Chambers, Walker, Lappin, Fev, Stevens, BARNEY, J-LO, Johnno, Waite, Whitnall (on an impossble match-up) JOHNNO...

The boys were awesome tonight, I'm pisse (drunk pissed) but they were great.

Sad to see Betts on the bench for so long, but this team is really going places, get behind then now people, if you don't have a membership get one...support the boys!!!

No, its not you Deano.. Wiggo has a heart of a Lion, always puts in body on the line running back into packs... I just hope Wiggo now realises he can sneak forward and kick a couple of goals as well and just become more than a tagger..

Bananaby pantsing the Port ruck trio is a huge positive, especially with the expectation that we'd be troubled by them. They may have got more possessions than the Big Banana, but they weren't able to give their midfielders the ball.
