OK, currently we stand at 1-2. Lose to Port and it's 1-3. The task becomes no easier Round 5, with the trip to Subiaco vs. Freo. Lose to Freo and it's an ugly 1-4. Virtually say goodbye to finals football.

Trying not to look too far ahead, but that is the expected outcome many 'tipsters' are plotting.

So, tomorrows clash with Port is VITAL. The boys must be switched on from start to finish. Implement all the fundamentals which Denis often talks about and the rest will speak for itself.

There is only one result come tomorrow night and it is up to the boys to make it the right one. They can do it. It is up to them to show us how.

I have no doubts. Neither should they.

Go Blues

Go the positive thread!

Come on you Blues, prove the football world wrong yet again.

We thrived on the backs to the wall stuff last year, this week could prove similar.

GO BLUES!!!

Difficult, but not impossible, just like Liverpool did this week against Juventus, away from home, spirited performance, go you Blues.

Love the positive talk. makes me feel like we might just be able to pull something off - like scraping home against Port.

Its win against all odds stuff, no one backs us, but even if it is improbable and crazy, you have to have the positive 'can do' vision in your head before the impossible becomes achievable.

Blues will win provided they show the same level of aggression/desperation/committment to get to the ball first, as they did in the Wizard Cup.

Even if we end up 1-4, we then have Richmond and Hawthorn in the following 2 weeks. So there would be a good chance of 3-4 and we're back in the race.

But a win against the odds against Port or Fremantle would be very welcome insurance. We don't seem to be good frontrunners/favourites any more (well we haven't had much practice in this regard I suppose), and there is the depressing possibility that we might lose to Richmond who always pump themselves up against us and who might be able to exploit us after 2 road trips. The history of teams returning from Subi isn't pretty.

Ayres and Alves in the Fox Footy Coaches Box both just picked Carlton to win.

Alves I can handle, but Ayres? He wouldn't know a tram was up him unless it rang the bell.
