Unfortunately, I am having trouble leaving the site to get some work done. I have this deep rooted fear that if I leave the new site it will be killed off like the first one. And even worse, that much like my second home, this new home will sink because too many refugess have come over into our boat, and we've spilled so much water given the weight that we sank. And then I'd be lost again, drifting into afl.com.au and even - perish the thought - reading sportal articles for Carlton news. I just can't have that again; my needs are too great, too constant. The Carlton in me needs to be filled with Carlton information, even if some of it may just be supposition, hearsay and potentially as useless as a Collingwood fan (or a Richmond final hope).

Perhaps I should see a psychologist.

Perhaps I should ask my wife to confirm that she loves me.

Or even my Mum - she hasn't called in weeks.

Either way, I can't leave until I know that the new home is safe.

Don't die. Please.

I'm with you Molsey.

No need to worry though. I just gave TC a quick check-over. All vital signs normal - Blood Pressure, Pulse, Blood Count excellent(very Blue - what else would you expect).

Long life span anticipated!

FWIW this may help put your mind at ease. I do want to expand on this a bit later when I get the time, but here is a quick run down of the server setup we have on TC.

We're being hosted by one of Jarusa's servers which had some, or should I say, plenty of bandwidth available. To the best of my knowledge we're sharing the server with around 4 other websites. Our allocation of server space is 100GB per month, and yesterday we turned over around 1.3GB. All signs so far are that everything is stable both for TC and Jarusa's other sites.

Maybe accepting Jarusa's generous offer is not a long term proposition, but for the time being all signs are that we're very stable.

As far as the admin team is concerned we're all here for the long haul, and will continue to do our best to provide a decent website for as long as you guys want us. We're obviously pretty passionate about this otherwise we wouldn't have taken the time to prepare the site.

So far, all is going well. Sleep well tonight. 8)

Oh, when Headplant gets back in a couple of weeks we'll be able to see what sort of numbers TBV did at its peak times to give us some sort of idea of the potential requirements we may need to cater for.

I won't sleep properly until I've worked out how you got 300 posts in two days.

Not that I can talk, considering the way I'm heading

Probably over 150 of them have been made in admin forums from as early as Saturday morning while we were busy beavering away on getting the site up and running.

Looks a bit like Maynard G. Krebbs.

The G stands for Walter.
