Tsk Tsk Camel - I don't know if that falls in to the category of constructive criticism.

if the club and player are happy with 400k then sign him up.

IMO that is a reasonably amount for him - but if we have to pay upwards of 500k or higher becuase others are interested him, then its time to trade

Do the Pies need another key forward ATM? Would Tarrant, Rocca and Fevola in the same forward line work.

Absolutely. Taz isn't a conventional FF, it would free him up to play further up the ground.

I'd love to see that forward line at the Pies. Just not sure what we'd have to give up for it though.....

3AW rumour file this morning - Pies offered Fev double what he is currently getting at the Blues.

I wouldn't have thought it would be all that hard to offer Fev double what he's currently getting, since he's currently getting not all that much! I would be very surprised if Carlton didn't offer him twice as much as he's currently getting. (That would still leave him on significantly less than what current players Kouta, Campo and Whits are getting!?!)

I can see this one really happening. :? :?

Just imagine Fev for Fraser and Tarrant. I think it makes heaps of sense.

Or maybe Fraser, Presti and a second round draft pick. This way Eddie wouldn't lose his first round draft pick.

Maybe a Shaw, a Cloke and Fraser plus a draft pick.

Who's on cheap drugs here??

Fev is not going anywhere, and i suspect we will not be paying zillions for his services either. He will be rewarded accordingly and will be at Carlton with one hand on the Cup before you know it !!

First and Second rounder?????

Choco is famous for being a wanker, but his trade policy is spot on. Stevens walking for nothing was the best thing that happened to Port, because they got 3 picks for Josh Carr the year after. He set the bar high, and now he gets what he wants.

Guys, if Fev walked out on us (WHY WOULD HE????), I would make the bastard SQUIRM through the PSD and get nothing for him, unless we were offered THREE first round picks, and AT LEAST ONE of them in the bottom 5.

THREE

If Ottens is worth 2, then I'm a monkey's testicle.

THREE..... at LEAST!!!!

There's no one on Collingwood's list we'd want. (FRASER?  )

They can bleed through their rectum before we hand over Fevola cheaply.

but, then again, there's no way it'll happen so.... like.... play on!

The Tyrant, why would you want to be a monkey's testicle (hanging around with dirty, smelly, hairy things)? Why not a polar bear like everyone else?

PS - If Ottens is worth 2 draft picks then I'm the rotor blade of a 60's Bell helicopter...

We will offer a fair contract. If that is rejected then he is acting like a mercenary and should be treated as such. Under that scenario I think it would be smart for Pagan to fill some midfield holes or defence holes with an established player such as Scarlett and a midfielder from Geelong.
Geelong reportedly have over half their list to sign by the end of the year. They will have SC pressure big time and may be prepared to deal.

I can tell you know Fev is chasing the bucks. He and his management approached Carlton with a offer an offer that no club would pay and the club let him know about this. I would rather let him go than pay him 500k because he aint worth it just imagine the donkey earning 500k a year he is cracking under pressure know imagine the presure when he signs for big bucks.

I doubt Fev will leave. He is a priority signing and he knows it.
He will test the market place and sign for less than what he is offered.
Our problem isnt current negotiations its past negotiations.

BTW, re the Pies, if they ever go and negotaiate anything you can bet your bottom dollar that they will return with WoeWoeden and Williams.

So would a reduction in Red and Campo's salary go some way in keeping Fev around?
Not that I think he will leave or anything, just curious.

Fev is a matchwinner.
He is approaching his prime and is one of our 5 key players.
He deserves to be paid as such.
