Just disappoints me to see how mediocre our list is going into such an important game against such a brilliant team.

Really would have been good to see some of our good young guys who have been pushing hard to get a game ie. O'Hailpen, Chambers, Bannister on the field instead of these threee!

We're just instilling into these guys heads that if they play a bad game one week it doesnt matter coz theyre goiin to be there the next WHICH IS WHAT HAPPENS AT BOTTOM OF THE LADDER TEAMS!!!

Why? That's all I want to know.

If aforementioned three want to prove themselves... then they must do it in the 2's

I guess weldone to Bowyer for earning a promotion. I'm not a fan, but it must be understood that if he fails to produce this week then it's back to the 2's next week!

Thats right, we wouldn't like to give a guy a few weeks to encourage him would we.

Obviously Johnson Wiggins and Bowyer have been pushing a little harder to get a game

Wiggins I reckon is fair enough, don't mind his attitude, he gives 100% without fail.

Bowyer, I can see where crazy is coming from, he's probably not going to feature in Pagan's long term plans, but I reckon Denis would rather have an honest toiler who tries his guts out for his team than a passenger any day. If he's deserved his promotion then well done Glen.

Johnno, see above.

Chambers, I'm really looking forward to him getting a run in the firsts. Hopefully he plays well in the Ants this weekend.

Bannister, hmm, he goes alright and has played a few good games for us, but I can't say I'd have him as a certainty ahead of the three blokes in the title of this thread.

O'hAilpin, either, well its not an option to play them at this stage as they've not been promoted.

I trust Denis to bring the players into the side that he feels have earned it the most and/or have a specific role to play.

It'd be nice to have genuine stars right down the list, but it doesn't work that way. When we're undermanned players will be given opportunities that some supporters don't think deserve it, but I'd be surprised if Denis wasn't picking what he thought was the best of our available players in round 4.

I sometime have to question the selectors they will cop a heap if we got flogged and these guys do nothing hopefully Longmuir will do something, i hope, as we haven't seen what he can do for Carlton, i'm hoping we have more luck with him then we had with Ricky Mott last year. No Chambers in the team i know he might not have stared last week in the VFL but he gave Carlton a lot of drive in the wizard cup, maybe they saving him for Freo.

I get the feeling Noof is still finding himself adjusting to the pace of the VFL.

Can any of you VFL regs tell us just how Noof has been going?

bowyer allowed carrotts to play a more creative role

Agreed, but I think Bowyer did more than that. Bowyer beat Burgoyne for stats in the second half, while in teh first Burgoyne threatened to be their fast onballer.

How much are Port missing Carr? They miss his drive.

Agreed. They never seem to be able to get into gear without him.

One of the Carr's had a breakdown for Freo on the weekend, so it really goes to show how much they miss his gear.
