neither morrell, teague or norman have the strength, speed or class to go with Tredrea.
We just have to hope we can restrict his supply so he only takes 12, not 20 marks.

will be tough in Adelaide this week.

Natnat ... i like Diggers, but he has been an avenue that we have been exploited through in recent weeks. His opponents in each match have gotten the better of him. I can see how Morrell got dropped. He is a good footballer, I am sure he will be back.

When does Carlton have to name the 22nd player for this week??

I assume they would have to name him today??

My tip is Morrell - think Pagan knew Scotland wouldn't get off and has put Morrell on notice.

Surely with this team Williams will just play a tall forward line and exploit our size? Leave Broagn in the ruck, and play Primus and Lade at FF, plus say Tredrea 30metres out as a close to goal CHF. Who would we have to stop that? How could we possibly stop that with this team?

Is it going to pour down on Saturday night?

I'm thinking DeLuca will have to play as a defender if we're any chance. As much as I love th eboys, Norman, Wiggins, Sporn, Houla aren't going to be able to compete in the air against that forward line.

Thanks for the update. Bloody chuffed to see Chambers in, but still a bit surprised we didn't go with an extra tall(ish).

Doesn't look like raining in Adelaide tomorrow either. :?

blues to win in the surprise of the season

really things aren't that bad. Both teams low on confidence and lacking players.

This will be a very close one determined by which side holds tough and wants it badly enough.

As Denis said in the press, this game will be the biggest test of our progress.

Win or lose, this game is surely about application in the most basic of ways.

Hit 'em hard blue boys

I'm thinking that with Bowyer in the side, he may start in the middle to give us some grunt for the centre clearances with Kouta taking Treadrea.

I'm not really in favour of 'robbing Peter to pay Paul' by putting Kouta on Tredrea, but we probably have no choice in terms talls.

We should go with Fev, Whitnall and Deluca for our forward set up because this will stretch Port's slightly undermanned defence as well.

I was thinking this last night. Ok, they're going to stretch us, how about we stack our forward line and stretch them. Apart from Wakelin and Thurstans they're short on tall defenders, and Thurstans must still be in some doubt. Lets play Waite, Whitnall, De lUca and Fev all forward and stretch them.

Karl on Tredrea

ANother shoot-out?

The Carlton of the past 10 years hasn't relished such games, but Pagan had a great record of them at North. 25 goals each?

Pagan is banking on the tall Port forwards not hanging onto the ball. If it hits the ground and they play tall we'll stream away out of defence and hit Fev on the tit.

Easy game really.

Pagan's rolled the dice and I hope his lucks in.

Good to see Chambers in too. We missed his pace so far this season. Take your chance Callum.

I'm looking forward to a 20+ goal game from this side. We'll need it because our backline ain't going to keep Port below 20.

Double or nothin

Actually, he might have another dip with Teague on Tredrea... you know... like he did last year for about 10 minutes

I can't believe i'm gonna say this (because i never like to see him down back) but Kouta to go on Tredrea! I believe in him, and i believe he is the only one we got to stop him.

Their defense is weak(er) than normal so we should be taking full advantage of that.

I'm pumped. I'm looking forward to this game. It is time for records to be broken my friends!!!!!!!!

Looking forward to watching Longmuier & Chambers. Very excited to see Walker back!
Stevens to take this game personally!
Fevola to kick 5 with Chambers and Stevens hitting him on the chest. Norman to get angry, very angry, and scare the shit out of a few players.
Betts to kick 3!

And my big tip..............Whitnall / Kouta to stop tredrea.
If Whitnall can handle him, Kouta to push forward and kick a few goals ala-2001 vs port.
If Tredrea to good for Whitnall, Kouta to stop him and Whitnall to kick the goals.

C'mon Blues, be positive!
