Scotland pending tonight´s decision, Chambers to come perhaps if suspension upheld?

How can you drop Morrell? Who's going to play on their tall forwards?

Surely that means that Kouta must play in the backline considering at any one time they are going to have three of Tredrea, Thurstans, Lade, Primus or White in the forward line. Maybe Teague can take either Thurstans or White and Norman may have to take one of Lade or Primus leaving Tredrea without an obvious opponent.

I get the feeling Morrell will be the replacement for Scotland.

We need Kouta in the guts and win the centre clearences. If we play Kouta in the backline then we will get smashed in the midfield and the defence will have a lot of work to do.
No matter who we play on Tredrea he will/should dominate and we will just have to accept that and try keep their other forwards uiet.
Nice to see T-LO get a run.

good luck to T. longmuir for his debut in the navy blue - from what little freo matches I've seen he has always shown enough for me to think he could do well for us - could be quite a tidy addition :)

Maybe Deluca is an option in the backline with T-Lo as the 3rd forward.

CARLTON
B: Carrazzo, Norman, Teague
HB: Sporn, Whitnall, Houlihan
C: C.McGrath, Johnson, Scotland
HF: Lappin, Deluca, Waite
F: Longmuir, Fevola, Betts
FOLL: French, Stevens, Koutoufides
I/C: Bowyer, Davies, Walker, Wiggins
EMG: Chambers, Morrell, Simpson
IN: Bowyer, Longmuir, Walker
OUT: Camporeale (susp), Prendergast (quad), Morrell
NEW: Troy Longmuir (Melbourne/Fremantle)

Good to see Longmuir is in for a run, will watch his game with interest. I realise that teams don't always line up as selected, but I expect our spine will start as selected. I think breaking up the Lance and Fev dual attack might be a good thing for our players in that they'll either need to present to our midfield better, and our midfield will need to look past the obvious.

Norman and Whitnall will have their work cut out on Tredrea and Lade/Primus though.

First of all JJ I said "maybe"....

Even with Morrell out of sorts not playing who else with any height in the team can go back to pick up a Primus. Karl and Teague can't cover everyone.
Prenda could have been an option, but is out.
I can't see Kouta going back with no Campo/Scotland. Will just leave Stevens and Jonhston in the middle.
Can't see Whitnall going back, Fev would get triple teamed then and where would the goals come from.
Bowyer can't pickup any of their tall forward.

Maybe Waite could be used down back this week.

What are your options JJ ???

That was a disturbing read.

I'm starting to think that maybe Deluca could be an option in the backline

I think the plan is to swamp the midfield and hope the ball doesn't go down their end....

Just on Chambers I know we need him desperately but I reckon Pagan wants him to have a game in the magoos first. From memory I don't think he actually managed a whole game during the Wizzer (he always seemed to be off for the 2nd half) so he would be quite short on match fitness.

Congrats to Longmuir and well done to Glenny Bowyer too.
