Two talls out / Digby and Prenda / replaced by two mediums.Weird, considering there stacked with talls.

Exactly, Pagan has always coached the man on man againist Port, even with the roos. Even at Carlton, Pagan has always tried the man on man accountable footy but we have never had the class to go with them.. Our last game againist Port it just didn't work and we ended up putting so many players behind the ball that we could only kick 5 goals for the game.

I'm thinking that Morrell will be a late inclusion, well I'm hoping..

It looks like Denis has Conceeded the Game before it even Started... unless he can come up with a miracle Tactic to Suprise us all.. very unlikely...

Whitnall is destined to play in defence all game... he will take on Tredrea... total waste of a move... might as well have Morell on him and make Lance a target up forward, Treadrea is going to take his 15 marks Regardless :(

Morell is so out of Sorts right now, i think denis would rathar put eddie betts on Primus/Lade than put Morell.. and i dont think he will put him back him now that Scotland is gone....

Bryan should have been given a game..... we needed the talls to make up the numbers....

Our midfield is non existant... if Kouta decided to sleep this one, we goona be shell shocked with goal after goal..... the centerline of Mcgrath, Johnson is ineffective, so once again we goona reply on Stevens to do all the work for us... God help him...

Can't see Whitnall going back, Fev would get triple teamed then and where would the goals come from.
Bowyer can't pickup any of their tall forward.

Maybe Waite could be used down back this week.

What are your options JJ ???

Perhaps Whitnall will spend alot more time down back and Kouta and French will go down there after bounces. De Luca will be asked to shoulder more goal kicking and ruck responsibility up forward and they may back Lappin, TLo and Betts to chip in a couple each.

Like the idea of Waite going down back but he´s not bulked up enough for a KP role IMO ... maybe as a floater or HBF but dont see him as very accountable.

Also expect Morrell to come back in, as much as I´d love Chambers back, sounds like he´d be better suited to Subiaco and Freo.

I get the feeling Walker was sent back to the VFL for a few lessons.
Perhaps Denis' comments indicate Walkz was getting ahead of himself?

"We want to have another look at Andrew Walker. He's learnt a helluva a lot in his two weeks back (in the VFL)," Pagan said before training on Thursday.

"It's important that he understands how he's got to go about his footy. He's a young boy and he's going to learn from what we've spoken about and what's happened."

Hopefully its a big return. We need him at his best.

Morrell has to play, absolutely has to play.

Norman on Treadrea, Morrell on the ruckman, Teague on the 3rd tall forward.

Kouta will not play back, Whitnall shouldn't play back

Lets try to WIN the game rather than trying to save it

Anyone for Waite in defence? What about Barney on Primus, rather than just filling the hole?

We're desperately short against this side.

Camel, depends if we're putting enough midfield pressure (which worries me...damn I wish Burgoyne wasn't back. )

I they are getting a few clearances then Barney will be dropping back. Our defence is down, they need the support. Unfortunately that allows for a loose man in their defence which is what has stuffed us the last 3 weeks....but that's what's gotta be done...and hope our midfield can both put presure and deliver fowrward

Over summer I was big on Waite at CHB. I don't think its right yet to be switching him around the ground, needs to settle...but thats a pretty short-viewed...view really. Guys as young or younger than Waite have been switching ends for years and done just fine.

Its almost the perfect solution if it worked

Their talls aren't in very good form. I think we need to worry more about their midfield.

Last time we got slaughtered in the midfield - our guys really need to concentrate for 120mins

Any chance Carrazzo could change on and off the ball against Burgoyne with Bowyer going to the back pocket when he goes on ball?

Lance Fevola Longmuir Lappin Betts and Waite up forward and Teague Morrell Houlihan Norman Sporn and Carrazzo down back. Walker on the wing McGrath in the middle Stevens on the other wing.

Welcome back Glenny Bowyer.
As BM said he should add some much needed grunt into the squad.

And welcome aboard Troy Longmuir.
This is the first time you get to don our Navy Blue jumper.
Wear it with pride and kick some arse.

I assume Teague will take one of the big boys. Perhaps they'll play Walker back as a '3rd' tall. He beat Fergus Watts (196cm) playing at centre half back in one of the under 18 championship games a couple of years back.

I can understand why they might want to continue to give Walker consistent time in the midfield. But even if it doesn't happen this week, I wouldn't mind seeing Walker playing out of defence at some stage. He might enjoy being taken to the ball, and getting to use his outstanding athleticism to spoil and rebound. It's where he really made his name in the under 18s.

Blue on grey background is very hard to read.

I think Morrell will come back.

I don't care what happens as long as they have a bit more enthusiasm when a goal is scored. From the outset against Collingwood the Blues were flat in terms of geeing up their teammate.

I can remember Waite kicked a great goal and only one or at most two players came to congratulate him.... get 10 players to congratulate at least or someone gets dragged off the ground.
