Dylan McLaren might be upset to know that he will be a late delisting to open up #10.

Question marks still on Bentick and Carrazzo, so they can stay in the 40s. I want to see both step up this season with a lot more pressure and competition on them for spots

Can we get a good number for Benjamin? He looks like a monster - one of those guys who looks bigger than what he is. Hope he's not a box-of-hammers type kid coz that's the only way I see him dropping as far as he did. Even if he is, as long as he can play football I'm happy.

Even Forrest Gump made all-American.

Don't the numbers of premiership players get retired for 2 years? Therefore no one will be wearing #16 next year.....

Never heard that.

Ratten handed his 7 straight to Davies.

poll running on carlton website asking what number you think GIBBS should get. 55% reckon number 4.

4 is the obvious number for him, he'd fit in nicely amongst the single digit players!

Just to throw another option into the mix...there's a number available that belonged to a 4-goal second half Grand Final miracle against the Filth, and also belonged to one of the greatest finals players of all time (and who should have won at least one Norm Smeth Medal)...

4 or 7...both will suit Mr Gibbs just fine.

The more I think about it, the more I think we're right. Ratten retired in 2003 and Davies (though he may have been granted the number by Ratten in 2003) didn't start wearing 7 until 2005.

So 16 is up for grabs this year.

I'd be happy if Gibbs had 4.

I believe it's a year.

Manton finished up in 2003. #22 was vacant for a year and then Chambers was given it after he arrived at the club.

So #16 should be up for grabs.

I reckon they'll give it to Griggs.

4 = Gibbs
7 = Bentick
Hampson = 11
16 = Griggs
20/22 = Mark Austin
26 = Benjamin
27 = Anderson
28 = Ackland

Higher numbers distributed to rookies and our second PSD Pick.
