yep - read it during my lunch break.

a great story - but gee, why isnt this splashed all over the radio and news

really, though, im rapted that the club goes out of its way to help kids in his circumstances, the poor bastard :(

great work by all those involved though :D

and Denis giving him is Wizzer Cup Medal, well, just shows the quality of the man.

My favorite part though was where the young boy says he likes "Skinny Lappin" becuase he looks like him

Good work Lappin, its time to hit the weights when a 9 year old has bigger muscles

Great Story

In particular this part:

Quote:
Typically, Pagan did not want this story to be about him or giving away his Wizard Cup medal. It was about getting a picture of Daniel with his Carlton heroes and making a sick boy feel good.

Just shows how much of a great man we have in Pagan (as well as being a super coach).....

Sadly this didn't get as much media coverage as the dreaded Karl incident... :(

Your right there melbelle...

Sometimes you read these type of stories and they're a bit cliche ( is that the word ) but there is no doubting the joy, this gift by Denis and the team, has bought to this little boy...I'm sure he'll treasure it always...and isn't it great that this young fella can find a bit of relief from his troubles by following his and our team....Daniel and kids like him are an inspiration

Great story Mel, well spotted. Feel for the young fella though, there's not much good that comes out of situations like this, gald the club seems to be willing to do whatever they can.
