Can understand why others choose specific moments or premierships, but I'd be shocked if Jezza's mark isn't the winner.

If that wizened old prune Kevin Bartlett had anything to do with it, it wouldn't even be mark of the year.

Jezza did say he'd taken better marks at training.

Good to see the top three are all at the expense of Collingwood...

They should have their own special list to celebrate our anniversary called "Top 25 Times Carlton Made Us Cry".

It would be nice if MM could add some more tears in years to come.

In terms of pure 'moments' I think the list is spot on with Fraser Brown tackle in 1999, Harmes on the boundary and Jezza. Those 3 stand out to me. I don't really look at a grand final victory as a 'moment' but in terms of how the list has been compiled I won't complain with their choice.

I think it's pretty good. At first I thought the Judd trade being that high was a little off, but then I remember the feeling at the time (and the 2nd greatest thread in this board's history IMO), and it's probably a fair enough position. Well done.

If the top 4 are the 38, 70, 79 & 81 Grand Finals then rounding out the top 5 would be the 1992 Centenary Game when we ruined there party by winning.

Not wanting to turn this into a pissing contest, but who can lay claim to being present at the most of these great moments, I'm claiming 11, but including the recruiting of Judd and Barrassi moments, I'm sure some of our more venerable posters can claim a few more than that.

I think Nicholls holding the ball up at the 'last game' is extremely overrated.

Good top 3.

Without the "Blackest Day in Australian Sport" it's a pretty shit list.

The moment Ron Barassi accepted the job as Carlton Captain Coach to start in 1965 for 3 years for 5000 pounds....(about $10,000)

In his third year of that tenure 1968; Carlton won the Premiership....the Club's first since 1947.

Barassi signing from Melbourne in the mid 60's was a massive moment.

We were a basket case similar to today. Going through our worst Premiership drought. Barassi coming to Carlton was the start of more than 20 years of success.

Problem with that one Psych is we're still using the same model for success now.

I'd rate the Barrassi signing over Judd signing by the length of the Flemington straight.

My favourite Carlton memory as a young fan was the Carlton vs St Kilda game at Princes Park in 1992. Lockett had towelled us up in the first half (matched up against Sexton) but at half-time Dorotich was moved onto him and he barely touched the ball for the rest of the game. Luke O'Sullivan went on a goalkicking rampage in the third quarter at the Heatley Stand End to bring us back into the game. The game ebbed and flowedin the last quarter highlighted by Sticks handballing to himself along the boundary and kicking a miracle goal. As the siren went, Lockett ironed out Matty Hogg prompting an all-in brawl. Glory days!

Whilst not a seminal moment in the club's history (we missed the 8 that year after all), games like these are why I love this club.
