If he takes $550k I'd be happy. Hopefully he finds a role that gets the most out of him over the next 2-3 years.

He seems to have forgotten how to play the outside role, and his ability to clear the arms inside has been diminished. Can't see him being a great forward either.

You make him sound shithouse.
Sakc Judd!

Haha - no he's still a gun midfielder. Juddy's in a transition phase, Mick wants to reduce his burden in the middle and casting about for other roles for him.

Mick used him perfectly against the Dees - bit part player allowing others to roll their sleeves up. Ratts would have had him playing McLean's role for 4 quarters,

I like the idea of reducing reliance on Judd in the packs, keep him fresher for sterner tests.

But he hasn't been a highly effective or dangerous player outside the bubble. You'd still like to get the ball in his hands more in positions where he can run, sidestep and find a target inside 50 with his excellent awareness.

A carlton champ and not holding club to ransom in terms of cash or length of contract - wish we had more of them - one of the best decisions in the last 20 years to get this guy to our club

Nice work Juddy - thinking of the team!

Funny that I just missed a call before and the message left for me was from the man himself, just letting me know that he had committed to the club, so it was about time I did by renewing my membership.

Was going to give it a miss this year as I'm moving interstate, however I may just consider it now.....

Good work Juddy and great work Blues!!

I just heard Hungry on radio say that the tigers are in the box seat to sign Judd at the end of 2014

The truth is he's not particularly effective in other roles. It's OK against Melbourne but we're not really reducing our reliance on him in the packs unless we can replace at least part of his output and simply giving more time to players with repeatedly demonstrated limitations inside won't change that.

I think mine must be lost in the ether like all those coaches emails that I never get.
