how bout ppl like fish (who is a gun) and the other forwards step up for once and help out fev, he cant always do it himself. And ppl baggin fev game, he had hardly any opportunites, had 2-3 players on him, the delievery to him was shithouse, and the flower umpires continue to give him shit all, esp that little runt chamberlain. And i watched the game today, fev did chase so u cant bag him for that.
Fev, being a senior player, needed to realise that having three blokes on him was not helping the side.
Fev, being a skillful player, needed to realise that if his side was going to get back into the game, he needed to get his hands on the pill - anywhere he could.
Fev, being a selfish, petulent little turd, plonked his arse in the goalsquare all day and looked un-interested unless he could make a long-ish lead and gobble a piss-easy chest mark.
Fev, being a dullard, seems incapable of anything but the traditional full forward.
You might say that Ratts got caught in the quicksand when Cloke went to the goalsquare and Fev lined up in-between him and the 50m arc (thus, mirroring Adelaide's set-up) but at the end of the day, good players know how to get themselves into the game.
Sure, Fev chases hard - and what a great sight it is to see - but I would imagine that is just to keep his legs warm. I would prefer to see a bit more work being done to create space up forward.... He could just as easily be the one pushing up to the wing with Fish staying at home in the square. Fish seems to be the only forward capable of hanging on to the high bombs anyway. But, I doubt this would sit well with the great Carlton champion full forward - who is as consistent as my nana's soufle.
Having the ball coming in from the wing all day made it a challenge for him, but there were plenty of times when Fev had the opportunity to present an early lead - something different - and he missed the boat.
