Embarrassing posts Braithy.
so where do you see jaksch?
do this for me, effes.
Judd. Kruezer. Cripps. Menzel. Docherty. Boekhurst. Clem Smith. Buckley. Daisy. Bell. Ellard. Simpson. etc
just a few players who came in off the bat and showed a willingness to get dirty and display heart for the battle from their very first AFL game. All of their skills and natural talent vary, but the one constant is they attack the ball and run through who ever is in their way to get it. They want to win. Good teams mostly have these kinds of players on their list.
Kane Lucas. Bower. Fisher. Warnock. Watson.
guys who have no heart for battle and never showed any will or intent.
Then you get players like Murphy, Gibbs, Walker Tutt, Waite and Jones and pretty much everyone else left on our list; who turn it off and on depending on their mood and what kind of matchup they're in and about a hundred other variables.
I know for a fact Jaksch isn't in the first group who are hard at it, have an ecompassing will to win, and have it all of the time.
So then at best, he's in the third group, which considering the balance of our list, isn't exactly what we need, yeah? The Giants let Jaksch walk for a reason, that reason being Jaksch isn't on the first list.
One of CFC's biggest problems over the last decade is hanging onto players hoping they'll turn a corner, or suddenly get it ... because they show glimpses here and there and keep us all hanging out for the day they arrive.
this club as a whole, has to be more ruthless in assessing players and moving forward without ones not up to standard. it's the only way the on field culture of the playing group will evolve into a winning one.
