Is anyone going to show up to the game tonight? It'll be interesting to see what kind of attendance they get, I would imagine there wouldn't be too many Carlton supporters turning up. The low membership numbers and attendance will have a pretty big impact on their bottom line this year.

I know a few members, not involved with TC who will not go and see the slaughter...their words.

MMs game plan and inability to move the players has lost the supporters, MDG ensured there was nothing to see here after round 2 apart from a few new retreads treading water and Buttifant forgot that players need to be prepared to play 120 minutes of footy not 45.

I would go if I was living in Melbourne, because I'm a tragic and the kids would love to get out and watch the boys play....till they gave up, and if Carlton looked to be competitive tonight and maybe finally get over Geelong I'd be there with the family encouraging the team right up to the dying minutes.

True but it is Geelong's home game tonight so they take the hit not us.

You might be right Heavs.

Anything can happen. It's headline news: the coach, the club, the recruiters, the players.

All in the spotlight and there's no bigger spotlight in H&A season than Friday night games.

Furthermore, MM and Board must be talking to the players geeing them up.

Surely Justin Maddens scathing comments about the players will fire them up.

Maybe David Kings comments today in the Murdoch Press about the bruise free footy the players are playing might spark them to come and play tonight.

What about Barry Halls plea to the players last night on League Teams to play for the coach, show some passion, something! Get reported. Something! That may have caught an ear or two, perhaps a heart string.

Even Doggies champion and ex captain said its only 9 games ago that the same lot of players got with 6 points of the Cats, so it must be the players. They have to show they care.

Or, Nathan Browns comment that the players don't defend on the Today Show.

The players can't escape the ridicule. It's time to show something.

Maybe the players will come to play, show a bit of life, a bit of ticker, and play a style that may just challenge the Cats. We have done that for years.

No matter what is going on behind the scenes at Carlton, good or bad, Carlton is not insignificant and players can't hide away from their responsibilities to the viewing audience tonight let alone their fans.

If they can't muster a fight to give themselves a fighting chance tonight with their friends family and the football world looking at them they can all go and get [REDACTED]. MM must give the boys some slack to compete and score!! Let them free.

22 vs 22...if they bleed......

We are just a bunch of pea hearts who sook it up when it gets hard.

Don't expect anything to change, that would require a mental transplant.

It's the reason we don't ever beat top teams, it's the reason we don't win more than 4 in a row.

The thing with Geelong is that all our little nancy boys rise to the challenge because they think they are a worthy opponent. It's the 'crappy' teams that we save our worst for.

Every player out of the team was omitted.

I have a Captains Club premium membership, but I won't be going to any more games until the team (board to boot studder) is pulling in the same direction. Let them see one more empty reserved seat in front of the Visy area at home games... there's plenty already. Hopefully they get the message.

Gonna go lift heavy shit at the gym, then fire up the BBQ and watch on telly. And probably drink - I live 18 meters from a bottle shop. Could get ugly.

Play a drinking game on your own.

I'm not drinking at the moment, getting a bit of fitness back.

I've decided I won't drink in the weeks we lose.

-12kg I'm thinking.

Obviously not watching the games then Cimm. It's really the only way to get through them. Drink and laugh.

Except for 2009 and 2010. We have to remember the good times too.

Almost to the point that I don't watch them.

Just wait to see the result and watch the replay. Makes for a less aggravating experience.
