After seeing Murphy last night on the footy show he's not even close to be a captain ( well off field at least ).
He was timid, tongue tied, needed support and unsure of the questions directed to him.
Doesn't come across as a confident speacker especially under pressure.
Totally agree. Looks like a lil kid in front of the school principal when Sam was asking him questions. I'm not a fan of Murphy as Captain. Looks too much like a lil boy from a boy band singing with one direction or something.
I think Carrazzo / Simmo are still ahead of him, but nearing the end of their careers. I see no reason to change Judd as Captain. If Gibbsy can finally have a break out year in the midfield and take the softness side out of his game, then l think Gibbsy would be a stronger leader of the young brigade. I still remember when he was 17 and just come to the club, Fevola did something stupid off field and he got up in a meeting and said 'i dont have time for this S#hit', then walked out. He went straight into the leadership group in his first year, because he is a leader.
To me, I don't get the whole sharing of captaincy anyway. If you have to share, then you aren't a capable captain at the club. There are vice captains. If required, wouldnt the captain just delegate media appearances and other tasks to the VC to conduct?
Only teams that have to share a captaincy out there are the crap teams down the bottom of ladder with no true leader with a lot of young talent eg. Melbourne.
Sharing captaincy is disrespectful to Judd. Judd should step aside if there is no confidence in him or share some responsibilities with a VC. Right now, changing captains would be for the sake of change, thinking that by changing something, it will improve things. If it isn't broke, why fix it. Slightly modify some things if required.
I Am Captain, I am Captain too. - Next years slogan lol.
