He has busted a gut for us, and kicked plenty of ripper goals as well.
I understand the Brock haters about as much as I do the Gibbs ones.
Obviously we have to blood the new kids as well, and soon enough, Brock's time will pass,
but not to play him for petty reasons is pathetic.
If you read all this crap Brock, I for one appreciate what you've put in for our club.

I think the game on the weekend would have suited him.

He would have been a far bigger contributor than Cripps or Judd.

I'd start him and have Buckley or Lucas as the sub for this weekend

nice.

Brock can't be sub. Doesn't suit him. Never has, never will. He needs to work himself into a game.

yeah, that's why cimm was saying to start him on the ground.
Buckley or Menzel as sub.

Garlett back? Eagles have trouble defending the quick small forwards - have Yarran, Menzel and Garlett all starting.

yes, Kruezer being a great example of this transparency. As well as Carrazzos two year battle with a calf complaint.

Hope our backline will be able to cope with Darling, JK and Nic Nat / Cox.

I am not a Brock hater BG. I admire the way he stuck to it and became a reasonable player for us, but i am a hater of the deal we did to get him and it still annoys me that we gave up a first rounder for him. Not his fault, but he has been average and other sides don't rate him much which is why he gets a lot of the ball. I'd prefer Army to play a shut down role and to be quick. And Cripps is the future and should stay in. Bell out when he was shaping well is a loss, but I'd rather us try young players to fill any gaps. Brock is just a battling plodder and we have too many of them.

Fair enough gerry.
I don't really think anyone hates Brock as such.
i really disagree with the usual adjectives applied to his playing though.
I'd go with super courageous, fearless, tough, in and under player who can kick goals, and inspire a game when needed.
Also completely agree about blooding new kids. I'm sure we can still do that even with Brock playing.

Plus maybe one of either Sinclair or Lycett as another tall up forward.

agree...Port dont have a very tall backline (actually their entire team isnt that tall)

But they run and run all day

and Hinkley has them doing the basics right - tackling, 1%ers, contested ball etc
