Like you really know. Have a think about that comment and give me an example because apart from maybe looking at a replay I don't see how that is possible :screwy:

Ah yeah you look at the replay...in fact look at each and every replay after each and every goal he has kicked and this will confirm my theory..hey hang on did you think???....

Hey, Bondi, you know that would NEVER happen.
Imagine these options:
Houla takes possession and accepts full body contact and causes a ballup or gets caught holding it. OR,
Houla goes for a one handed pickpocket, it comes off and he runs into an open goal. OR
He misses it and cops plenty on TC from certain quarters.
He'll never be good enough for Keogh until he gets re-incarnated as a player with more grunt and less skill. Risk-takers win games but little praise when the risks don't come off.
This Houla thread used to be on talking players with a different name. Talking players has been closed but the circular argument goes on forever.

Doesn't deserve a contract extension based on last nights performance.
Whenever it was his turn to win the footy it would end up with an Essendon* player......and he provides little defensive pressure.
Ditto Stevens.

Houlihan isnt good enough for AFL BS
Plain and simple
I dont have this blinkered tunnel vision view of RYAN HOULIHAN
Its the way he plays in respect to the modern game.
He isnt quick
He isnt as great a kick as anyone says
When the pressure is on he shits himself
He doesnt carry the ball quickly enough with speed
His kicking over long distances isnt good enough
He hasnt raised his game to the next level
and he is 27 years of age with over 160 games experience yet provides @#$%&! all leadership to our youngsters on and off the field
Ratten plays him as a defensive forward
What value is he to the team when he keeps Sam Fisher to 16 possessions

The game has passed the likes of Ryan Houlihan because the game has become so intense and he isnt intense enough
The sooner th MC realise this the better

Didn't do himself any good for a contract renewal last night.

The way I feel right now.....drop everybody but Judd, Simmo and Setanta...blokes who played with a bit of heart.

Words are cheap.Got nothing positive to add to the Houla thread

Hope is in Rattens hand.
Motivation is in Rattens hand.
Playing players to their strengths for the good of the team is in Rattens hand.
The game plan is in Ratten's hand

That that is I have NFI.

I don't know what to say.
Is Houla the answer? Nup.

As to what role Houla played against the Bumbers....got NFI.
So I can't say whether Houla did his job or not.

Maybe evrybody played their role ... if it was defensive.

I am at a loss...and so is Ratten.

He's even lost his kicking for goal ability.......the whole teams down in confidence......and we've lost that come from behind never beaten attitude we had earlier.

I wouldnt renew his contract......while he has been playing defensive roles on rebounding defenders I dont think he has been doing enough and has lost pace which we cant afford.....
Never been a fan and while trying to be objective I think he has had a fair run and its time to look at other players notably Chris Yarran who I think is a bag stage player rather than a Bullants regular.....
