Now that its almost offical that we are going to play at home.

How about we try and involve the fans.

The AFL/MCC & Docklands will argue that the ground is a wreck.

Actually I agree, it needs a good paint.

I am more than happy to visit my seat in the Pratt stand, sand it back and paint it Blue.

Anyone else want to help out?

500 helpers wil save the club thousands

If PP is t become a third AFL venue The AFL will have to fit the bill of around 30 to 40 million to get it ready not the Carlton football club.

Anyway i don't wanna see the blues play games VISY park as its not what it used to be and as a club we've out grown the place.

As a fan we must play at home, outgrown or not.

The Chicago Cubs don't worry about out growing their field and neither should we.

If we quit now in 20 or 30 years maybe we will be playing in Tasmania or Adelaide, Perth etc.

To ensure that this will never happen we must play at home.

The AFL will not spend much, maybe Richard has left us a few $$.

Are you people living under a rock or something.

Greg Swan has said if footballs to be played at Visy Park Carlton would sign over the lease to the AFL and it will take complete control of the ground. As it's our training venue a few $$ might be sent our way. The redevelopment would be paid by the AFL and a rough estimate is around the 30 million mark to get it up to standard including building a new grandstand

Our deal at Etihad runs out i think in 2014 by then we will be a financial force with power to renegotiate a stadium deal like the pies and bombers have

I heard Greg Swan on 3AW last Thursday say that not a lot of money would need to be spent to make Visy Park a football playing venue immediately. The ground could currently accomodate 24,000. Must say I have not heard this $30 million dollar figure before.

I thought I heard $10m-$15m would do to renovate toilets, bring (especially) Gardiner up to safety standards, replace seats, maybe improve the surface (which is a little off its best) and other facilities such as changerooms, and catering installations, maybe even a scoreboard!!! I hear the VFL park one is available :donk:

Actually, without the social club, where will match day functions and hospitality be? At the Princes Park Motel? :smoking:
