Correct me if I'm wrong, but Judd's main job is playing football for the Carlton Football Club.

And it's the first game of the new season, and his first game for the Blues, so he has every right to want to focus solely on the upcoming game.

He is not Dimitrious biatch in other words, or at least I hope he isn't. Geez, the AFL are coming across a bit too much like the mob if you ask me, controlling everyone and everything.

I hope Judd sticks by his guns and refuses the interview, as that will show us just how committed he is to his no.1 priority - the Good Old Navy Blues.

The other thing is, it is VERY Carlton to stick our noses up to anyone that's not Carlton.

We do it our way, as the song says.

ANd anyone else can go get [REDACTED].

Next time you see a famous woman out with her man not drinking and not wishing to make a scene, go up to her like a tweaker and ask for her photo...

Give the guy a flower break - who knows what was on his mind. If they had made the effort to attend the family day, or any other event in the next 10 years they'll get their opportunity.

Any truth in the rumour that the Chaser guys have caught wind about Judd hating photographs and they have followed him around all day asking for him and Twigs for one. If it hasn't happened yet then be warned.

He is also being paid a squillion to promote the club. Whether he likes it or not (not, it seems), he's the new face of Carlton. I am as excited as the next person about Judd running out in our strip but you can't have your cake and eat it. I can understand his reluctance towards having to answer a couple of lame questions from a TV presenter - particularly after having his face and (very measured) words splashed across all spectrums of the media during the offseason - but it is part of the territory.

How many other club captains would refuse an interview on the eve of a new season?

I love the guy and what he has already brought to our club. It is only a small thing but it is not a good look.

But then, I biased. :)

If every Tom, Dick & Harry who spots Chris Judd in public thinks that he owes them something, whether they are Carlton supporters or not, they should go and get a life.
In declining an interview this week, Judd has displayed a high degree of common sense, because 90% of the questions would have been about our talented air head full forward, who has caused enough distraction already this week. How Fev was ever included in the leadership group in the first place is beyond me.

JUDD is a real SNOB isn't he? He is captain of the club and should do interviews to promote the club.

I posted in the Talking Players section yesterday how I saw him reject photo opportunities from a couple of Carlton fans at Lorne on Saturday.

If there was a big line up of fans waiting for a photo I could understand but I only saw two people wish him the best and asked for a photo and he declined.

Does JUDD think he is royalty and above averyone else?

We are paying him millions so I hope he delivers on and off the field.

Did you ever think how it must be for him to have people coming up to him all the time while he's out with family and friends, constantly asking for a signature and a photo? What the hell is wrong with the guy wanting a quite night out, a private meal where he can relax without worrying about his job or his injury or the season ahead?

Take a good hard look at yourself. You aren't the centre of the universe, nor are the supporters in the other thread, and if Judd refuses to sign a few signatures once in a while then that's his choice and fine by me. He's a footballer, not a slave to every Carlton supporter with a pen and a mobile phone.

I heard it was 2 Collingwood fans who just wanted to flog off his picture on e-bay so they could get their teeth fixed

But I could be wrong

:P
