NBN rollout = HD for everyone, everywhere, every time. :smoking:

People will probably start forming pay TV syndicates.

Still love this attitude of 'Free to Air TV should show ever game live'.

never have. Never will.

Get Foxtel. Simple as that.

NAB cup... seriously, who cares? Think the last nab cup game I went to was our win over west coast in pagantime.

I'd rather fiddle around with shortcuts until IPTV is in full swing. I'm not dropping close to $100 a month on something I'd use for maybe 6 to 8 hours of programming a week, and that's assuming I can't get to any of the games.

Given that, it'd probably be cheaper (and a better experience) for me to go to every Carlton game. Throw in the EPL and it's still not value for money. That's the plight of the average punter: adapt and watch 3 or 4 sports religiously on Foxtel, or get your family interested in some of the programming.

The latter is a desperate move when you consider Freeview. Flip over to the US or the UK and you get double the content for about 60-75% of the price. No wonder Telstra don't mind giving up the copper cable; they've got another monopoly to play with.

Anyway, more than enough about that. Lightning round might seem mickey mouse, but it's probably a better pacing for the opening round of pre-season games for the players, and in doing so offers more of a hitout for the fans to view as well.

Hey i didn't say foxtel was good value.

Just that right now it's your option. Free to Air coverage of all games has never and will never happen, so those folks we hear on the radio and read in 'Mike's Letters' who say 'It's not fair I can't afford Foxtel', can finally accept that as fact and not get it.

$100 a month is incredibly hefty compared to Sky in the UK. And doubly so compared to US cable.

Oh and the NAB cup is a waste of time.
