I've all but forgotten that JR's in Dallas....... The real JR's runs around in a navy blue jumper :smoking:

He is speaking really well.

The usual line of questioning

- mentioned how he found it hard when first recruited with expectations being 1st round pick
- mentioned that Fev had the ability to make something into nothing!
- spoke how he is now being asked to take on more midfield roles and he is enjoying that
- spoke about most of the players and indicated that Austin was probably the most improved along with Jacobs earlier this year
- Jamo should be back this week

then I got a call FFS!!!

Speaks extremely except for the interesting quote above

Most interesting thing said.......
"Guys used to get games when they didnt deserve them. That doesnt happen now !"
KB then asked who was coming back this week.
Jamo and Carlos mentioned the absence of Stevo was interesting . Yes everyone has said it but it's now stating that we arent gonna play reputations we'll play the best available players.

No doubt Russell is a pretty smart young man - right from the start in his interviews he has been very articulate and well beyond most of his teammates. He has always been quite introspective too - lots of doubt in him for mine.

The only player near him (that they let 'Mike & Dan' talk to) would be Shaun Hampson.

Only caught the tail end.

JR said he considered going to Port at one stage when the Blues were not travelling too well.

He said he now loves Melbourne & wouldn't want to leave Carlton

Did you guys hear hammer spilling the beans about hutchie trying to pick up his sister during the post game interview on Saturday?

Apparently after she turned him down he said somthing like "you only get one chance with me"

I heard that, pi$$ed myself laughing.

Hutchy tried to pick up my now wife at the Maori Chief in South Melbourne a few years back, she said he was the biggest knob she's ever met. Not backwards in coming forward apparently.
