My changes would be as follows:

Out
Hewett (inj)
Hollands
Riley (not ready yet)
Ison (should have been given a spell weeks ago)

In
Lord
Acres
Pittonet or Reidy
Moir or Williams

Agree with most of that.
Pitto def back in if fit. Riley not ready but despite that I'd still play Riley over Reidy.
Reidy is rubbish.
Moir has shown a bit more in vfl in recent weeks. Love to get a look at him under Fraser. Hoping he really smashes down the door today.

We know how this goes under Voss.
Great test for Fraser this one.

Lucky enough to be going to this game with Mrs MPH. We’ll be in Brisbane for the BMX World Champs and she organised this as a little side trip.

Clearly hoping to bounce back and get these pricks.

Hopefully Howe doesn't get up and Frampton's one-week ban isn't overturned. That would leave Collingwood without their three first-choice key defenders, which would significantly weaken their backline. Schultz being unavailable is also a big out, especially with Elliott already injured.

The other big question is who goes to Naicos. I initially thought Cottrell, but I still have nightmares about his tagging job on Sidebottom a few years ago. Maybe Ainsworth is better suited to the role? Whatever happens, I just hope we don't see Hollands matched up on him.

Moir's had 5 touches 20 min into the last qtr for no score. Williams in. He hits the scoreboard.

If we find our form prior to Richmond we will win. Should of beat them last time given we played with 17 on the ground most of the game (Elijah Hollands was having major mental health issues) and still only lost with a kick after the siren. Bar last night, we have improved alot since then.

Yep. Scratch Moir. Had the chance to press a claim. Failed miserably.

In: Lord, Acres and Zac
Out: Hewett, Ollie, Ison

Not holding my breath on this one.

This group has proved time and time again to shit the bed against this mob. Throw in the fact that finals are still very much on the line and it will make them shit the bed even more.

Last night exposed some very big cracks we've been covering up - I mean I got smashed for losing it because I wasn't happy with a 4 point win over Richmond - in fact, we've beaten Richmond and Essendon* by a combined total of 8 points, when everyone else has been belting them by 50+.

The Pies aren't great but are mentally strong and well drilled. Despite our win streak the signs have been there that we're still not shaking off old habits.

This is a big test and we’ll learn a lot about Fraser and also our players mentality.
Have they ruled Hewett out? If it is a back spasm, he could be right in a few days.
Otherwise, I agree with above to bring in Lord, Acres, Williams and Pittonet if he is fit.
If Pittonet is not fit, I’d give Riley another go.

George Hewett told his teammates he has a back spasm which ended his night against Hawthorn. So not yet ruled out against Collingwood. Pies to decide upon a Frampton appeal this morning.

You're questioning our development or the stuff between Moir's ears.

Frampton has become a fixture since 2023 Premiership.
He takes a lot of intercept marks. Even with moore out, they have marking power in the backline.

Without Moore 203, it would be Frampton 201 who would take Harry 203. That could end up 0-0.
Imagine Harry going into the ruck, leaving kemp 193 and Gov 191 as our KPFs against Frampton and Puncher, allowing Howe to be 3rd man up.

I hope Frampton misses because it leaves 20yo Cochrane 195 to partner Puncher 196 and Howe 190.
We have to stop them intercepting and if we dont play a lead mark game, get the ball on the floor for Evans Byrne Ainsworth Hayward types.

I feel Young has to come in this game, to chop out in the ruck or be our KPF if Harry is the chop out.

I wouldnt mind Young in the backline too because Cameron 204 is in good form and he wonders down for his 1-2 goals from marks against us.
They also have McStay 196 as their 2nd ruck, Buller 199 and the other 3 midsized marking forwards Membrey, McCreery and Anderson.
Derksen 195, Dean 193, and Haynes 192 wil be stretched as they were in the wet by Chor Lewis and Gunston.

Selection will be interesting. I think Young will play back on Buller/ Cameron. Maybe swung in the ruck as a chop out against Cameron.

I have no problem playing Riley at CB, but he needs support. I don't care if we play Pitto too. I think playing him will be good for his development. He can stretch Pies defenders playing KPF in goal square at times.

Frampton has been really good for them, and has lately been filling the void left after Nathan Murphy retired.
It is a credit to his drive and commitment and determination.
Moir is undoubtedly blessed with infinitely greater skill and I’m sure has been given every opportunity and guidance to help him improve. I know our development stocks are not the best but with his talent, I have no doubt he could be a top class player…. If he really wanted it. But he needs to get cracking pretty soon or his opportunity will slip away. He won’t be the first or last.

FWIW, I don’t think Frampton will get off. That was 100% a dangerous tackle and exactly what the AFL is trying to stamp out. By contrast, I thought Crisp’s tackle was fine and it is fair that he wasn’t rubbed out for that.

They're challenging the Frampton case, will be heard tomorrow night

If Frampton gets off they've done well with 3 from 3 .... Maynard last week (nothing to see) and Crisp so far this week (nothing to see).

As far as George is concerned let's hope his back spasm is just muscle cramp and ligaments & joints etc are all fine. Might still sit this one out.
