Can’t we just accept he has the job?

Would have preferred it if he stated from the start that he's interested in becoming a senior coach and if invited to be a part of any process then he'll put his hand up for it.

The 'I'm not ready' line I never knew what to make of. He's clearly ready. But on the flip side, I'm not hiring anyone lacking confidence in their ability.

“Yeah, I want the job. It’s why I came back to the club last year. The job was already mine, GW just needed to lever both Voss & Simpson out of the way.”

Isn't that what Ratts did?

Saw the writing on the wall with Pagan and arrived the year before the sakc.

Yet people are still unsure about JF being unsure...

Unpopular opinion? The whole thing is becoming a bit of a circus IMO. Firstly, he doesn't apply for the job. It's not advertised on SEEK. If the club believe he is competent enough, they'll invite him for a chat.
I'm actually over the daily speculation in the media. Fraser gets asked if he's changed his mind, he chuckles and mumbles the same crap. Shut it down Josh! Tell the media the press conferences are about the upcoming game and the players. Tell them you won't be commenting any further and to focus on who the game is really about. The players.

If he's interested in being involved. He knows where GR's office is and Graham knows where to find him.

They stated from the beginning that the decision will be made at season end.
Don't think the club has wavered from this and Josh has not really moved from his stance. It's the media that is making it a circus. Do you want the club to alter their processes just to appease the media

You only have to listen to his comments about training to get the idea he's wanted the job for some time. Don't think I've ever heard a coach mention Monday to Friday more in his press conferences

Liked Josh's response to THAT umpiring decision . He virtually dismissed the furore and said he had far bigger things to worry about . Good stuff Josh , don't get side tracked .

Did he then talk about it constantly à la Chris Scott? :)

I don't know who the best candidate is, but what's good about the loss (and more probable losses to come) is that it'll clear the air a little, and make it easier to search for the best candidate (even if that turns out to be Josh).
