WOW. Thanks CK

This is the post. I forgot it was a thread.

I see BV's response. True to form re long posts

I see mine below that.

Yep. It moved me.

We've been through a lot together, and we are all in this together.

We all want to see us back at the top year after year...and I really think its going to happen. The renaissance has started

I would like to add, imo, the switch was flicked at half time vs Brisbane Lions; Vossy's last game. We have competed hard every quarter since that half time break.

That's the first time I have ever seen that post by Deano and read it.

I thought I was a Carlton "tragic supporter" but I have nothing on him, he is clearly an inspired one.

Its interesting how some cannot understand the fact that peoples lives and at least part of their focus can include the following of a football club etc. IMO Carlton is at my core, but that's not to say its the "only" thing - but geez its enormously significant and important to me.

I've always thought the key to success is not to look in the rear-view mirror, you should acknowledge it, BUT, focus and seek clarity with what is to come.

Its fair to say that clarity has not yet surface in regards to this football club. I assume the majority in the TC online carlton community, have lived the many ups and maybe more downs of it. I know I have. BUT, regardless of the worst, that maybe, I always try to seek some homage in that the best is yet to come.

So Carlton - the best is yet to come :)

So the real issue here is…

I have never seen this thread before!!!

And whilst I love the post from Deano and all I’m starting to hyperventilate.

There are over 2 million posts on this site and until now I thought I’d read every one of them.

But now there’s a whole thread I haven’t seen.

Which means…

There could be more!

Reading every piece of insane shit on this site has been a badge of both honour and shame for me for two decades.

But now it turns out that maybe CK’s the only total loser out there after all…

Where do people go when they quit a message board? I frequent three of them - this one, a Liverpool FC one, and a general one - each for 10-20 years. If I've quit a board, I don't remember it and probably posted only a dozen times or fewer. But this place is littered with abandoned accounts with 10,000+ posts. I know some have passed on, but what about the rest? Do they make grand announcements, flip the table or just slink off into the night? Are they all blinged out and surrounded by hoes on twitter or other monetised social media? How does one go about it?

Its all of the above

I am in contact with people who have been viewing TC for 2 decades (young and old) who have posted and never posted. Its interesting.

Time is the main issue.

I continue to admire the work Jarusa did and still does, Molsey was my little hero, and it was London Blue who introduced me to this site on the proviso I don't let any of our mates and old teammates know the level of our tragic addiction to Carlton and this Forum. I've honoured that. Always think of Deano Supremo as I mentioned in another post in response to keogh, hence the apt bump by CK.

Names fly through my head....Synbad was pure keyboard warrior and great he's still, I am spewing not to have met other admirable characters like Mickstar, and Sidex (and I will soon),Tommi (but we may have crossed paths in music), the footy god BV, camel camilleri, jimmae, dannyboy the writer, bluehammer, bluechucky, wojee, Effes, keogh, Rexy, beowulf the VFA VFL tragic and GWS, what about blueman, thehalford, every constant poster, and the avatars of braithy, The game, I love seeing them, and I view BF to follow the ex TCers I admired. The names Des English, Pat Fitztrick, No 19 Tram, Princes Park Whistler and Orangewhip I just loved those names. And having a PM trade time relationship with the great Mojo and eric.

Have to say my favourite moment was attending the sponsors night and meeting Mrs Cazz. She was a true blue and hilarious and great looking, and meeting Cazzeman on the same night. I'm lucky to have met AGRO, Doc Sherrin, the late Mosche, he was a happy fella, Mark No 3 and Kaptain Kouta were regulars I'd bump into at Sydney games. Glad to continue to see intellectuals Sydney Blue, sinbagger and lately Great Ex...Carlton Clem lives around the corner but dont see him anymore. He's too busy chasing Corporate clients and being a young dad.

I will organise a List Management meeting in Sydney, and will take out those I've committed to luncg, dinner and drinks, but we really should get together in melbourne. Got me thinking..... good health and victory to you all.

Something happened to Synbad!?

A good time to get together in Melbourne is the day after number 17, or perhaps the night after.

haha yeah...still seen at games. Good on him. Not only was he an intelligent fellow studying the Classics at Uni, he was a tidy footballer when he was a young lad.

A reflection of all of us and what makes us tick.

Us 120 years ago.......

Quote:
“Barracking is a fine art, so enthralling that once embarked on is never abandoned, once indulged in, never eradicated. ‘Barrack once and you’ll barrack always’.

“It is as intoxicating as the use of opium, and is as entrancing to the exponent and as objectionable to his neighbour as an onion-eater in a theatre. There is no medium between the ‘barracker’ and the moderately excited spectator; you must either ‘barrack’, ‘body and soul’, or watch the game quietly.”

I have been on these boards longer than I can remember but I don't know how I missed this thread.
Personally feel, it takes a lot of courage to spill your life out like this. I haven't seen Deano for while - but that's brave.

ps. I'm glad some supporters haven't seen us win one wooden spoon, let alone how many we have now.
