Don’t want a coward puncher or a manic wall puncher. Times have moved on from “one soldier down, another soldier stands up” coaching inspiration.

There’s much more to the game than authoritarian discipline and toxic masculinity thanks, Clarko. Respect his record but he’s not for us. We’re on the cusp of something big for this club given it’s last twenty years and may as well give Teague at least one more year.

There’s been improvement in both most of the playing group and the team synergy (in the last few weeks). I think they (coaches) assumed last years defensive prowess was just going to happen naturally this year and the focused too heavily on offense. They seem to have recalibrated pretty well and the players have two quarters of learning by doing against a decent midfield to reference now and take some confidence from.

An excellent coach
Yes a man with faults
But passed it
Pagan was passed it
Malthouse was passed it
So don’t be surprised we get him

Is this the man for Carlton? I don't think so.

Temperament

Clarkson in 2017
In addition to his role [as a Coward Puncher] in the Battle of Britain exhibition match, Clarkson has been sanctioned for his bad temper on several occasions during his coaching career. In Round 22, 2009 against Essendon*, Clarkson was fined $15,000 for confronting and threatening Matthew Lloyd after Lloyd had flattened Hawthorn's Brad Sewell and started a brawl at the start of the third quarter of the match, and for abusing an interchange steward who attempted to intervene in the incident.[19]

In July 2012, while serving as the runner for his son's team in a South Metro Junior Football League under-9s match, Clarkson was reported for abusing 19-year-old umpires' adviser Thomas Grundy; he was suspended for four SMJFL matches for the incident. The incident occurred one day after he had punched a hole in the wall of a Melbourne Cricket Ground coaches' box during an AFL match.[20]

In May 2013, Clarkson again created controversy after calling AFL Media journalist Matt Thompson a "flower".[21]

After Hawthorn's round 4 loss to Port Adelaide in 2015, footage was released of Clarkson appearing to grab the throat of a fan outside a hotel in Adelaide. After the club defended his actions, Clarkson suggested he was worried about his safety as three heavily intoxicated men had made physical contact with him after he refused photos, causing Clarkson to push one of the men.

It is up to Carlton supporters to haunt this Coward Puncher for the rest of his life.

No way does he come to Carlton to have the last laugh on us.

I have trouble forgiving him for stacking their back line when way in front to prevent Fev getting his ton. I'm sure the nasty little smart arse thought it was funny.

Early in his coaching career at Hawthorn the club had to pull him aside and tell him to stop abusing journalists. The mail at the time (maybe wrong) was that he wasn't far from getting shown the door, admittedly Hawthorn weren't travelling that well at that stage. Credit to him for pulling his head in (to a degree) and going on to have a stellar career. Having said that, if Geelong had won that prelim in 2013 (five point loss?) I reckon that would have been the end of him at Hawthorn.

Burnt out, past his best, we don't want him. Teague gets another year for mine.

Teague is contracted to 2022 , and they won’t let him go into his final year without any assurances

Teague fate will be known in 6 weeks and there is no way they are offering him a 3 year extension unless he does the impossible and wins the flag !!

Barring that , the end is near for Teague ,

As usual I was at that game. Everyone including blues supporters cheered Buddy when he kicked his 100 earlier in the game. It was a real festival atmosphere. We knew we were going to lose but just wanted Fev to get his 100.

The bastard made sure he didn't get there but not for the team's and Fev's lack of trying.

They would have made history that night and we were to witness it ...... 2 guys celebrating 100 goals on the same night.
That a-hole Clarkson made sure it didn't happen even though they were about 10 goals up.
Stay the hell away from Princes Park a-hole.

I wasnt at that game. But I’m guessing half the Carlton board were. Unless they are completely drunk on their own power and business world successes and impatient for a flag then they will tell clarko’s manager to take a flying jump.
