I don’t see that but important to be positive and hopefully local senior footy and nab league games come back soon , watching my boys play and their teammates as a team is far more enjoyable

Only a few weeks ago they knocked off a undefeated team of 2 years snd that was more exciting than what Carlton has produced this year

Finally, someone in the media has accepted the fact most of our forward line has been missing this year due to injury.

Quote:
McKay has always shown the ability to be a dominant key forward, but was held back by injuries across his first four seasons.

The former top 10 pick has put all the pieces together in 2021 and has done so despite Carlton missing almost its entire starting forward line for most of the year – Charlie Curnow, Mitch McGovern, Jack Martin, Zac Fisher and Jack Silvagni have all had injury issues.

Point is, its difficult to "Stand up" when you're injured.

Injury has had a huge impact on our year thus far.

Mate, you have blurred vision. Do you work for the club? Stop defending our inadequacy.

Just stating the only 'comforting' fact.

I have already mentioned my disappointment with"

* the lack of defensive pressure from our midfield group.
* the lack of defensive focus by coach
* the late reaction to opposition set ups
* the lack of fitness of our players to run for 4 quarters/ possiblt Russell's failure.
* the lack of a depth for Fwd/ Ruck, KPD depth
* the lack of development for our High Draft selections...all of them
* Playing injured or underdone players and expecting them to run 100% for 4 quarters
* allowing the players to put their hand up for selection even if injured
* continuing playing players who are out of form or not following instruction
* failing to stop the 5 goal run of goals from opposition........

BJ, you just haven't read those posts.

No doubt injuries play a part, but good teams don’t use that as an excuse.

The key is culture and systems. We rely on individual brilliance to stay competitive and win games.

We have little role players that are effective.

Our bottom tier players are near the worst in the AFL.

Fix some of these issues and we might have a chance.

Culture and system !! When it works you have a whole team from seniors to reserves

Eg. 2019 premiership by tigers , reserves and players wore all their footy jumpers that day

When you carry players , it’s fails miserably

Eg , our pies loss , our port loss , our dogs loss and dare I say it , our eagles loss

How many clubs right now have record winning sequences against us !!

Something has to change dramatically

That guy Heath buck on my blue heaven said , it’s not about winning it all but you have to show constant improvement !!

Were has there been the improvement in our playing group since Bolton got the sack ??

10 pages is an awfully large amount of posts to say “they won’t.”

Yes we should now change the title of this thread to “when will they give up”
The answer is now
Every 2 or 3 years they completely pack it in
Like clockwork
This may be one of the lowest ebbs for this club is a horrendous last 20 years. 6 years into a rebuild and 4-9. Not even giving a shit against a middling GWS team. Pathetic

That game would make my list of top 5000 rock bottom Carlton moments of the 21st century

Seconds after the first bounce it was obvious that GWS were in for a low intesity training drill.

You're right. It was totally one of those games where very early on you could tell we'd turned up with the wrong attitude. I still can't belive how much easy ball they got in the first half, just a joke.
