IMHO, Williams and Martin in for O'Brien and Silvagni.
Gibbo a chance for the sub vest

I was just about to post the team I expect the MC to announce, and you hit it right on the head.

I was going to suggest naming Murphy as 23rd man to help him get to his 300 games sooner than the business end of the season, and secondly, and probably most important, assuming injury/ concussion occurs later in the game, like last week, he comes on fresh whilst the other players are fatigued. That way he may get closer to the pace of the game, and no excuse to display that high effort, no impact attempt to bust a gut defending. In my heart, I believe he was acting that he was busting a gut when chasing.

He was recruited for his ability to win the nut, and run and carry and break lines.
He doesn't seem confident to do so, even when the opportunity presented itself to do so several times last week. Disappointing to see TBH.

He should have at least been part of our Peter Dean Father/Son Academy- even though his dad didn’t get play enough games for him to be a father/son selection.

I don’t think Lachlan was ever on our radar.

He went at pick 64, I am sure we could have traded back into the draft at that stage.

Collingwood only offered us pick 74 for OBrien

There were plenty worse than him thursday

Agreed and give the kid a few games to find his rhythm. LOB too.

Good by whose standards ? How many possessions, tackles, effective kicks , goals ? He is not a kid any more. Just a spud who cannot play football. Was he named in the best players ? NO. To find his rhythm he needs to join a boy band and get off a football ground. Sick of people on this site making excuses for a soft, lazy, poorly skilled loser who can't kick, can't mark, can't stick a tackle and is taking the space of of half a dozen kids who are better than him and need the chance to prove it. All because he was pick 4. So was the great Luke Livingstone I believe.

Not in the 2018 draft.

Apparently those attending this game need to download the Service Victoria App.

I will have a keen eye on the defensive side of our players this week: running back to fill gaps or to help defense, forward pressure, tackling, chasing.

These are the non negotiables.

No Passengers.

On the Offensive side of the game:

I expect Harry to take his shots at goal with confidence in his drop punt: make it a habit and his MO.

If Dow misses another shot on goal from 30-40 out in front ... I will be asking he does his development in the VFL.

Pies will flood whether we get it in quick or not and Moore will be waiting for the Carlton bomb. I want to see our mids lower their eyes and hit targets rather than bombing it to Moore.

Levi must catch the ball and beat Moore, and hit their defenders hard with knees, shoulders and with his weight on them in tackles.

I expect a goal or two from Murphy. A win for him for mine tomorrow is to see him chase opposition effectively, with purpose and tackle: ie forward pressure

Lock the ball in our forwardline. Not talk about it. Do it!

A bit disappointed to see McDonald out of the 22. I thought he deserved to keep his spot

I think we've only beaten them twice out of the last 13 encounters.

Not sure if it's been mentioned here, but...

HEAD TO HEAD:

CARLTON 127

COLLINGWOOD 127

4 draws.

Who knows what will happen an hour prior to the game.

Up till then, anyone on the Emergency list can be selected in the First 22, then after that, the 23rd man is named.

It makes sense to have another tall marking target in the forward line to stretch their backline. Oscar is quite mobile too.

This is the biggest clash in footy in Australia.

Hope its a good tough game for 3/4ers and we run away with a 50 point win in the last Qtr.

GO BLUES !!!!!

Oh Yeah...

Happy Bicentenary to all Greeks today: 200 years of Independence since their victory over the Turks.

What a great day for Carlton to show its support for its huge number of supporters of Greek heritage, with a victory over the old foes.

Lets get that 128th victory over the Filth tonight, and celebrate !!
