Loved the Fish. He was our spark. Setters was very good as well. Harry was average early so it was good to see McDonald show something when Harry went off.
Doc had a shocker, Willo will have to improve and O'Brien just confirmed what I already knew. He doesn't have the physical intent required.
Loved Dow's hands around the contest. He was super creative. The one obvious thing to come out of the game? Our midfield isn't ready to move past Ed yet. When he went into the middle in the last quarter, he consistently won the ball and prevented the opposition running away with it. Something none of our other mids could do.
Such a great summary...
Cripps also had a shocker...
Pittonet did well...
Williams throws himself 100% at everything. Created a couple of goals as a result... Not sure that we want him defending the aerial ball...
Disappointing that we didn't seem to have a set up at kick outs??
This is a gift in the game (Huddo said in the last quarter that it would be great to see what Saad could do if someone blocked for him.... Yes.... It would!!!)
Saints mostly waltzed out of the middle... Winning or pushing it out...
They also went for a short kick on a first posession out of the stoppage... We ran forward and left the receiver free... every time....
Plenty to fix...
Go Blues
Both posts great insight.
Hope we can fix a few things.
I thought saints looked like a top 4 team and we did well to hang in the contest and in the end nearly snatched it. Said it earlier you could see the super fit Ed was gassed.
Ed is special.
