"Champion Data, the official statistician of the AFL, has worked to redefine kicking measurements.
For years they have charted kicking efficiency and will continue to do so. But those pure efficiency figures can sometimes give a slant towards defenders who gain high readings by chipping to unmarked teammates at short range. This year, Champion Data has employed two extra statisticians at each match to chart the "Hit Rate" - the percentage of kicks that hit targets taking into account the difficulty of the kick. Each kick is measured by five characteristics - distance, direction, intent, target zone and pressure. This new measurement will complement the pure efficiency ratings."

Below is the top 100 after Round 8 ...

K: Kicks. E: Expected rate (%). HR: Hit Rate (%). R: Rating.
(A higher Expected rate (E) means a player attempts easier kicks; a lower figure means he often tries the impossible. The higher the Rating, the better the kicker is performing.)

Blues, 2011
Rank. Player (Club) K, E, HR, R
98. Nicholas Duigan (Carl) 57, 74.1%, 75.4%, +1.3

95. Jordan Russell (Carl) 63, 68.1%, 69.8%, +1.7
94. Marc Murphy (Carl) 90, 62.7%, 64.4%, +1.7
89. Mitch Robinson (Carl) 67, 65.1%, 67.2% +2.0
70. Andrew Walker (Carl) 53, 51.3%, 54.7%, +3.5

As an ex Maths teacher I love numbers ... was impressed by the number crunching, & how many Blue Boys are in the Top 100
So, I'm thinking "yes" Tommi :smoking:

Train A, traveling 70 miles per hour (mph), leaves Frankston heading toward Nowhere, 260 miles away. At the same time Train B, traveling 60 mph, leaves Nowhere heading toward Frankston. When do the two trains meet? How far from each city do they meet?

Lol what a crock. Heath Scotland is probably our best kick yet he doesn't make the top 100.

When you've done that one...

I went to my psychiatrist and told him I hated living with my mother in law. He suggested I ask my wife to talk to her and to go for a 5 km walk with her every day. I went back to see him a couple of weeks later and he wanted to know if Iwas getting on better with my mother in law. I told him I was, and also with my wife but I hadn't seen them for two weeks. By my reckoning, I said, they should be 70 km away by now.
