Yep. The Moody experiment has been a disaster. Pointless having her deep forward if the ball doesn't get there.

Nice to see a Fitzpatrick kicking goals for Carlton again.

And an Austin!

3 goals in 3 minutes - sensational!

Well done Blues.

Brea Moody. Best player, 2 goals after going back into her best position, the ruck. What a surprise.
Some times you don't have to reinvent the wheel.

Very congested game.

Tigers just got it to the outside a bit better than us & deserved the win

We have a tendency to allow teams to get on top of us late in games.

As they nearly did again today.

Still, a win's a win.

Not overly entertaining though.

Watched the game with Lil' Miss Wojee II and she made the observation that there seems to be lots more tacking in the Women's game and that it looks "messier".

The fixture has been kind to us for a change.

I think this is one of the biggest things that makes it hard to watch for me, there’s too much congestion. The pressure is high on the ball carrier like in modern men’s AFL, but the skills and strength aren’t there to quickly get the ball into space. And by “space” I mean 40 metres away, not 2 metres.

There needs to be some way of making the women’s game more free flowing before it will a good spectacle.

16 per team on the field is what they have now.

Time. The skills will improve but for an "elite" competition, it's anything but. Watch Women's cricket or golf and the skills are elite. The best of the best would star at mens community level. Any 1st division mens suburban football team would beat an AFLW team by 30 goals. Those pushing the AFLW cause would bristle at the suggestion but it's reality. It's still a long way off earning the stature it's being falsely provided.

Some nice passages of play in tonight's win.

The play-on/link up game was again on display, with good effect.

A couple of nice left-footers in the team.

Moody strong again.

Great speed shown from Fitzpatrick and great legs on Austin.

Great to see 8 individual goal scorers too!

The blokes only did that a few times this year.

Even the coaches are saying this competition is beyond a joke.

Quote:
“But at the end of the day, that’s the team that won the Grand Final last year against the team that finished last.

“18 teams in the comp and only 10 games, how we play that team is beyond me. That’s what you get when you get fixturing like that.”

Now the girls are finally playing like the boys.

Just when they had a chance to stick with the top 4 they put in a shitter like that and drop out of the 8 again.

10 lousy points?
