It's all about pressure.

I would rather have our blokes known for hard tackles than hard hits.

As we saw in the Wiz cup, if you create enough pressure and harry opposition ball carriers enough, they will cough it up.

From that perspective Fev, Campo and Cory are the absolute best because they are tacklers with a bit of legspeed.

And mark my words, Eddie Betts will prove invaluable by the end of the year with his chase & tackle regime against opposition backman. Always a good chance of an opposition blunder when you have good chasers.

luke blackwell

fev has been doing a good job latley.

teauge is just nuts.

cory is a hard at it, thats for sure.

as silly as it sounds i loved the way simpson played the last two weeks, for someone so small he played with phisicaliaty and lots of confidence.

seems really sure of himself out there kade.

i was starting to worry he was slipping by the way side, but he will be a regular by seasons end.

definatley a keeper.

Teague is near suicidal at times.
McGrath is an old fashioned slam-your-head-into-the-ground-when-I-tackle-you player, and I like that.
As for Fevola, the G-Train may soon need to step aside for the Fev-Express. He's got the bulk now to have frightening momentum on a lead, the only player who'd enjoy filling the hole in front of him would be Teague.

Teague the hardest ie bravest. Solomon named him as one of the comps toughest players last night on TFS.

What would Solomon know....Teague is THE toughest player in the AFL.

Interesting you chose 'enjoy' to describe what Teague does. I always suspected Hicky enjoyed getting a good hit...I just don't think Teague thinks about rhe consequences.

I guess if you want to know the truth about the hard nuts of the AFL you could ask Peter Filandia for his opinion.....
