Many many years ago I remember hearing a group of Bluebaggers sing 'I was born under the Heatley Stand' to the tune of Dirty Old Town. Any chance that someone knows the words of this little ditty. The Carlton one that is!

You weren't by any chance waiting in a massive crowd to get into Waverley to see us lose to the Pies in 92? That's where I heard someone sing it. Can't remember the words though - sorry!

Those Grog squad boys could sure sing, shame it was pre-Austrlaian Idol.
I only remember something leading to the chorus about "if you come under the Heatley stand we'll all stick in the boot..." to the tune of I was born under a wandering star..

As a former Grog Squad member.
I can tellyou that the words were sung to the tune of Wandering Star
and the words were

I was born Under the Heatley Stand
I was born under the heatley stand

Boots were made for kicking
Guns were made to shoot

If you come under the Heatley stand we'll (all stick in the boot) [or the better version] all give you a root.. (in the Bluebird days)

Oh i was born under the Heatley stand
the Robert Heatley stand
