Man, I hate it when people vote no when they're supposed to vote yes. We had a dipstick do that in the 'Tugs on DVD Campaign' too.

Sorry gang I voted ‘no’. The injury to Thornton changed my view here. I think that if he is out for 6 games that will really stretch us. He is not as vital as he was last year as we have more depth/options but I still think it will cost us a few games. I also think that Fev needs to prove himself in regular season. Remember last year he kicked half his goals against the bottom 3 or 4.

I seriously hope that I’m wrong and the lads make the 8!

There should be a question / poll saying - Would it be good for the Carlton Football Club to make the finals in 2005?

There are very good arguments to both sides of the equation. If we do - and bomb out in the first week (most likely having to travel interstate), therefore not many of our supporters get to see us play the final live...we don't get great draft choices when ideally this is the time when we need them, and players and their managers will want to increase their worth believing they are better than they actually are...and we may lose some key structure to our nucleus that the club is building.

On the other hand...if we don't but are competitve throughout the season and continue to build in deficiant areas, then there are lots of pluses to this argument as well

Could've been. I think it's more likely that it was the person who owned up to it, two posts above yours.

But hey, what would I know? :?

I believe the Blues should make the 8 (barring injury) and go further if they maintain the anger. Show footage of the matches against Melbourne /St Kilda /West Coast and the rest of them over the last couple of years treating the Blues as if they were nothing more than little league players and that would get me worked up for revenge.

Number 1-5 on hitlist - Kangaroos/St Kilda/Melbourne/West Coast/Port Adelaide. Revenge is sweet. 2005 is the time to deliver. Until this team gets a home and away premiership the legacy of that round 22 match vs Nth 2003 (and the other ones)will continue to fester.
