Do you mean the 3.2km. time trial?

I doubt Spriggs would beat Chambers over that distance....

Ooohhh...was it only 3.2km...I was thinking all this time it was 4.3km.

So who knows?

Also what were Fev's slowest times again (around 15 minutes?)

BTW g'day Warbs, welcome to TC

Good to know!....I like this site.....I find it to be incredibly quick and easy to navigate around....there seems to be some good characters here too.

I haven't the heart to tell Spanner, but find t'other place very slow since the rebirth....many times I click "submit" on a post and get a page saying "this page is not available".....and the post is gone......lost.... :x

Hope you're well....I've just done a post over there about the TV deal....try and read it....

I haven't had time to post much on either site due to life and work...I'm franticallly trying to finish my 3rd epsiode of "Training Diary".

Now I know the time-trial was over 3.2km it puts it into a little more perspective...means changes to my article though.

This site is mighty fine. Not sure about the characters here though...

Cheers Zip. Any idea as to who did what time?

Also, what is the all-time AFL record for the 3.2km?

And what is "the tan"? What distance is it?

Ok. The report is saying 3km not 3.2km and doesn't mention CC's time. No doubt he wasn't far behind though.

So Spriggs was faster than Chambers...settled! :)

Verbs, 'The Tan' is a lap around the outside perimeter of the Botanical Gardens. IIRC, it is about 3.8km (or maybe its 2.8km...?).

It doesn't seem to get much of a go any more, the tan.

I'm interested because I've got my 3km time down to under 15 minutes, but have been running 4km as I thought the trials were held over 4.3km (buggered if I know why I though that) so I thought I was like miles behind the times the slowest Blues were running. Will have to test myself with this new info now.

The Tan is 3.83 Km.

Craig Mottram can 'GO THE TAN' in 10 minutes 11 seconds

Tan time trial puts all comers to the test

Some of the times from the first time trial on 3 November 2004 were:
    Spriggs 10.21
    Chambers 10.36
    Walker 10.46
    Prenda 10.57
    Bannister 11.01
    Clarke 11.11
    Davies 11.13
    French 11.17
    AB 11.18
    Blackwell 11.45
    Stevo 11.49
    Pleming 11.57
    Karl 12.37
    Fev 13.04
    Livo 13.20

On their last training of 2004 on 22 December, a few of the times were:
    Chambers 10.15
    Prenda 10.29
    Bannister 10.31
    Walker 10.37
    Fev 13.05

All of the times from 22.12.04 are set out in the following article from the club site: Chambers leads Blues into 2005

On their return for the time trial at the start of 2005, Chambers ran 10.17.

So Verbs, can you beat Fev over the distance yet?

I'm still not close to Fev either Vet. Will be interesting to see where I'm at in 12 months though.
