Geelong season high 31 points from their defensive 50 today - shows something is wrong with Carlton's defensive setup.

Yes Carlton are undermanned but there is still a fragility there.

Inaccuracy so costly.

Lack of variety with forward 50 targets. Too predictable.

Super frustrating match.

We blew it completely.

We scored over 100 even with the innacuracy, half our backline out and awful umpires, we'll be fine, no fear against anyone

118 to 105. Defensively we were terrible, but as well-drilled as they are they still gave up 105pts.

Voss has some work to do. You cannot let the opposition score that many easy goals running it into an empty forward line. That was peak Teague energy

A small forwards a not very good right now. Deflating from both forwards. We are missing Fog in the F50.

We need some soldiers and god damn do we need our defensive structure to tighten up.

Ain’t gonna win finals with this profile - leaking like an Irish made submarine.

We couldn't have played worse, especially defensively, kicked poorly, and slaughtered by officialdom and still just lost by 13.

Our inaccuracy in front of goals were the main difference. Had we kicked even a bit more accurately, everything else would have been more in our favour too, including their turnover game.

That 50m against Harry/Cripps was a shocker as was the non-free to Williams. Amongst several other notable bad decisions.

We are much better with lower scoring games where we close it up. Nothing like that the last few weeks bar the last 45 min last week.

Pros:

Centre clearances.
Kept persisting.
Cripps, Pittonet, Weiters, Harry, Boyd, Hewett.
Newman's ability to hit a forward target is elite.
Liked Durdin's game, especially his first half. But like many others, missed goals he should have kicked.
Elijah's going to be a good player. But his handballing is absolutely awful.

Cons:

Injuries caught up with us.
Exposed for pace. Couldn't match Geelong's rebound.
Inaccuracy again. And that combined with a Geelong who couldn't miss if they tried. And for whom every lucky bounce and blind kick seem to go their way.
Umpiring didn't help either.
Owies, Young, Cowan, Oli.

Our defence sux and I'm a little worried about the next few weeks. We struggle with turnover/transition and our defence can't keep up.

Our goal kicking sux and it's not the first time. Why are we so inaccurate and whyyyyyyy does it occur when the other team can kick them with their eyes closed?
Some very bad misses there.

Umpiring was crap and just made it so frustrating to watch when they constantly got away with dropping the ball and those rugby throws.

Plus we have a long injury list and are missing several key players.

Poor kicking when they never missed
Cowan Acres Newman Carroll turnover kings
TDK 0.3
Durdin my God 0.2
Our soft cocks on show E Holland's and Young they just shit bricks.
A lot of slipping over at crucial times.
Soft frees and 50 metres gifted them 3 goals in the last.

Injuries catching up with us
Saad McGovern and Cerra would have been a huge difference

We did enough to win and game could have been put to bed at quarter time.

Poor kicking is Poor football

I think I've completely jack arsed myself. Listening on radio via app having a grand old time and then silence. Took me half an hour to figure out phone battery dead. Talk about rookie error. Ordinary
