Never pencil a win in this competition
Simply don’t play Pittonet at Marvel
Cost us today
The competition is so even

When you're 16 up with 5mins or so to go and you let them kick 3 straight... Especially a team who couldn't @#$%&! miss (watch them kick 6.17 next week).

The Harry/Owies fumble summed it up.

It is as weird that I felt like we should have lost by 5 goals yet we lost we 2pts or whatever.

the injuries are going to flatten us and the next 5-6 weeks are big.

what was cerra's injury?

in 2024, you cannot go into a game with 2 specialist rucks. i really hope the MC learned this lesson this week. modern rucking is more about follow up work and around the ground presence, than tapping to (non-existant) advantage.

:banghead: :banghead: Forget the scoring shots.

The crows smashed us at the clearance game. Killed us through the middle.
Ran harder

It's bizarre that we were as close as we were.

Had no right to win that game.

Last week was the same.

It seems we're being figured out and need to find other ways to win.

For the love of anything, please no more 2 ruckmen.
And please please please, if a mid needs to be replaced, for christ sake replace him with a mid :banghead:

A smart, tactically proficient team should be able to lock the game down from being 16 point up late. This is why I have doubts about a top 4 finish.

We've been riding our luck all year, and today, it ran out.
Now we have a stretch of games that will sort us out.

Arrogant selection choice to bring in Pittonet for Cerra.

We thought we could experiment at selection and it cost us.

Pitto was fine for most of the night, but it took away TDKs game completely. No where to be seen as the game wore on. Horrible choice.

Williams was really good and also really bad. Looked out on his feet in the last and cost us multiple goals.

Walsh just a freak.

Don't mind being kept honest by a loss. If you're 5% off in this league you can drop any game.

Next week it'll be Marchbank in for McGovern and Cincotta or maybe Wilson in for Saad.

I thought that we out played them the 2nd half just failed to convert our chances.
We were totally out played in the first half
Losing Saad early then Gov in the last didn't help.
We lack composure in front of goal.

Law of averages says we were going to lose a close one eventually.

Wonder what was wrong with Cerra.
Interesting to see who comes in next week
Marchbank?
Cerra?
Cincotta?
Cowan ?
Binns?
Young ?
Cunningham?

I think Cunningham's still a couple of weeks away isn't he?

We just didn't look right all day.

Crows deserved it I reckon, as hard as it is to say.

Owies at the end with that weirdass kick at goal? @#$%&! me what was he thinking.

I guess a win would have maybe papered over some big cracks.

Real battle of the wounded next week....

came back on to post exaclty the same thing, aside from the scoring shots

anyone who thinks we deserved to win that is dreaming.

we were tripe today, and it felt like we were never in gear

cows wanted it, we thought it was just going to happen

injuries cruelled us, and i think the one we missed the most was fog. there was stuff all forward pressure and they got it out way to easily

weiters was down, and well beaten

most of our players couldnt hit the side of a barn today

there were a couple of goal reviews - one each - that were wrong and also cost us, but at the end of the day we kicked 6.12 from half time

we lost because of us. and we deserved it

voss was outcoached again by nix, but it all comes down to the players kicking ability

this loss brings us back to the pack with a very tough draw ahead of us, while the win would have given us a bit of a buffer

social media going nuts about us and we desrve that too, but it sucks

all in all, a self inflicted loss by a middle of the road team that shows us we are not the real deal yet

bloody angry about this one

Only listened on radio but seemed to be opened up continually from kick outs. Not sure what happened on the boundary line with Kemp and a couple of others but sounds like a calamity to allow a goal

Last 2 losses to Adelaide really [REDACTED] us. Starting to really hate these pricks.

We looked so slow today. We have no line breakers without Saad. And the defence was non existent. Weiters got absolutely towelled up by Tex. Still we got ourselves out by 16 with 6 minutes to go despite our accurate kicking abandoning us. The @#$%&! up on the boundary line in their 50 have then a sniff. Then the @#$%&! up in our 50 from Owies, fmd. We finally snatched defeat from the jaws of victory. I need to see Owies again but I thought he was going to waltz into an open goal. What the hell happened? Next month is going to be interesting. Can't help but feel we're following the same script as last season. Winning games early but playing shit. Then a tough run with an injury list a mile long
