I have a hard time believing Kemp would be dropped as well as Young. So I'm thinking you could be right that Kennedy is unlucky.

Out: Young, Kennedy, Durdin

Either Fantasia or Cuningham to take Durdin's sub vest.

Or maybe Marchbank will be the sub?

North going in with Xerri and Coleman-Jones in the ruck, and Larkey as the KPF. ie 3 x 200cm players.

If Kennedy is out, and Young omitted, I'm guessing Harry gives TDK a chop out in the ruck in your team?

I still think Young needs to be the sub as insurance for TDK injury or if Weitering needs to be managed.

I'm an unabashed fan of 2 rucks, and hope that Russell can put Pitto together again. Pitto's knee has not improved much since last year's surgery.

For the record, thus far in 2 praccy games and 2 H&A games, neither Charlie or Harry have scored goals when Harry is in the ruck.

Harry and Charlie kicked 6 each. Cottrell Owies Kennedy 2 each, and singles mainly from mids TDK Cerra Cripps Ollie Carrol Fog

I don't mind Harry giving TDK a chop out. But, if anything, we need another goal kicking target in the forward line.

Fingers crossed TDK stays injury free all year, and Pitto is nursed back to fitness. I wish SOS was playing 3rd tall.

I agree BB, TDK goes down in a game it’s a liability having Harry ruck the whole game

With Marchie in, be a wasted opportunity not to throw Kempy the 3rd tall option - an inch shorter than Jack, yet with a better vertical jump

A sub should not be a KPP - either a small forward or midfielder.

I want the sub to have versatility and preferably speed, not just an insurance policy for one position. If Weiters, Young, March and Kemp are all selected then I'd have one of the latter two as sub. But I would drop Young and let Kemp do a few centre bounces. TDK, Harry, Cripps, Kemp... a little wild, a little creative. :D

I might be older than you

Kemp, as the footy cards used to say, is a utility type

Kempy has played well enough to persevere and with and continue developing in the AFL when we can.

I'd take high jumping 193cm Kemp to play fwd ruck than 190cm the heavier set Kennedy. Maybe Kennedy out.

haha

Kempy is tall, quick, agile and can kick long goals, and play 3rd tall well. I like him as a HB. He was a midfielder trying to shape his game around Cripps.

You're correct, Kemp's a classic utility. Only 1 cm shorter than Silvagni. Like.

I was missing Silvagni till that thought popped in my head.

I just dont think Marchy comes in just yet - even with Young ommitted for Weitering, that leaves Weiters, Kemp, McG and Marchy in the backline. Marchy isnt the sub type. Voss ruled Motlop out, but said there are three changes....so Weiters and Hollands and ???? in...We can rule out a debutant I think

Kemp very stiff...
Aren't we short in defence?
(or are we thinking it's never going to get there)

Go Blues

I don’t like bringing in 2 KPD that haven’t played for months.

I’d have played Marchbank in the 2s

Kemp very unlucky. I would have preferred to have him given the role as 3rd forward.
